Liked: This hostel is in a fabulous location and is easy to find. It takes only moments to get to the beach, moments to get to nightlife and food.

Disliked: The only security lockers were small ones by the front desk. I prefer hostels with lockers underneath the beds that you can lock all of your belongings, not just the smaller valuables. The locker is not large enough to lock up something like a laptop.

Liked: The staff greeted us in a friendly manner with cold towels. They were really helpful for example giving advice on how to get to a place I was looking for-they called there for me! They upgraded my room for no extra charge for a four-bed-dorm. The living room is nice.

Disliked: You had to pay for internet and they had no breakfast. Climbing to third floor via stairs was bit hard. The showers/toilets were not in very good condition.

Liked: Great common area to meet ppl in. Lots of pre-partying before hitting the town. Incredibly close to the beach and Bangalore Rd. Ice cold AC and free lockers if u have a lock.

Disliked: Nothing.. except maybe the blankets are a bit thin for the arctic AC at night.

Liked: Excellent hotel to meet people. Staff was very helpful and kind. Very good value for money. Smaller rooms where clean and comfortable, bigger dorms for party people. Common room is cool, with big TV screen and movies!!!

Disliked: Showers could have been better and it was a bit noisy during the nights (depending in which room you had to stay) because of the noisy street. They had computers, but you had to pay for internet, which was not nice.

Disliked: Water on our floor wasn't working the first night. Couldn't use the sinks, shower, or toilets.

Liked: Best location for a backpacker's hostel in Patong. If you want to take a dip at the beach, it's just less than 5-minute walk. If you want to go party at Bangla Rd., it's just 2-3 minutes by foot. The staff also were very nice and accommodating. They make you feel like you've known them for quite a while and they actually call you by first name - which pretty much makes you feel at ease. There are a lot of backpackers too that you can talk to from all around the globe. Am glad to have chosen Patong Backpacker Hostel. :)

Disliked: There was a clogged sink (common bath & toilet) at the upper floor but didn't really bother me that much as I checked-in a room which had a separate T & B.

Liked: Close to everything, helpful staff, dvd/tv in lounge, WiFi but you pay for it, small kitchen

Disliked: Too close, and there are annoying fireworks if say you need or want to sleep and have a 6am flight out. The lockers aren't in your room and are super small

Liked: The location is fantastic for Patong Beach. It's within walking distance of the beach, nightlife, shopping and food. That, and that it's clean and well maintained are reason enough to stay here.

Disliked: Their internet pricing is ridiculous, and they provide safes but require you to buy a lock (or have your own). The 6 bed dorm itself was nothing fancy, and consider that's an earning of about $80 per night for the hostel, one would expect more. Nothing provided except a bed and a blanket. It was fine for one night, but I probably wouldn't want to stay here for several days.

Liked: Very helpful staff. Amazing location.

Disliked: Walls in the dorms are VERY flimsy. You will hear a lot of banging coming from the other room all night. A bang on the wall in the next door room shook the entire frame of the bunk bed in the room I was in.

Liked: Gret location, girl at the reception was unbelivebly helpful and lovely! The rooms are good size, we had out own bathroom but there is also one for communal use. There is a lobby with DVD's and internet which is great to meet an awesome ppl which I will definitely stay in touch with! I never stayed in hostels before, just hotels and to be honest If someone guarantee that all the places will be as good as this hostel I would never go back to stay in hotel again! Fun and affordable for young crowd!

Liked: this place was great to stay at, right on the beach, a 2 minute walk to the night life, shopping and restraunts, plus it was always cool, clean, and welcoming

Liked: Patong backpacker is situated minutes away from the beach, a stone throw way from Bangla street where all the night life is, and is 10 min away from Jungceylon shopping center. Totally value for money. I would recomment it to any backpacker, and will definately revisit when i return to Phuket. There are security locker at the front desk, which is great for storing your valueable. You can watch movie at the living room area if you dont feel like going out. All the staff are very friendly, and even organised a New Year 2011 party, free of charge with food and drinks.
