Liked: I cannot stress enough how good this guest house is ! It was clean, fun and the staff were so friendly. The owners annie and mark are by far the NICEST and most helpful people. They made us feel very at home. We had many fun nights laughing with the owners and staff! Excellent people ! Nice rooms....i would highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone. Liked: Location is good, not on the beach (but thats not a bad thing) Staff are friendly and Mark and Annie (owners) are cool, they sit and chat with you also offer advice. Scooters also nice and cheap! Oh and free pool table and internet. Also good food in the bar. Good place all round.

Liked: I would recomend anyone that is thinking of going to this corner of the earth to stay at A1. Mark, Annie and the rest of the staff really looked after us and being a group of 9 lads probably needed. The food is excellent (Good work Mamma) and reasonably priced the rooms are clean and comfortable. Mark and Annie can sort out anything from trips to taxi's at a decent rate where other place's you may find your self paying over the odds. The main thing about A1 you get to meet some interesting characters and you are able to get on with your holiday with no hassle. See you next year!

Liked: Mark and Annie (owners) really make you feel welcome and are so helpful and friendly. They can't do more for you and it gives the hostel a great atmosphere. Rooms are more like a hotel. really clean and comfy! highly recommended.

Liked: This hostel is great value for money. W!e went to view a hotel a guy we met there was staying at and the only difference was that it had a pool and was on the beach and it was 16 times the price and he said the staff were rude. Mark and Annie who run the A1 are both amazing. Right from the moment we met them we got on well and they invited us to their bar in town which you must go to as their staff makes sure you enjoy yourself and are not bored. we chatted to Mark and Annie for ages and they even invited us to join in a local pool competition which was free with free buffet and free drinks at the end because we won and the team who lost has to buy winning teaqm drinks. Mark and Annie's bar moves soon to a bigger place a few doors down so go here too as his ideas for the bar sound great. We hope to be returning in March as we loved it here sooo much. We would have stayed longer if we didn't have to sort our visas out in Bangkok. Will miss the A1 and Mark and Annie...x

Liked: location was good, great value for money, friendly staff, free pool and internet always a bonus, overall nothing bad about this place. apart from antsssss but they didnt get in our way.

Liked: we loved everything. the rooms were cleaned daily, a safety deposit box in the room was a total bonus- fab cheap food and great staff who were amazing. Highly recommended :D

Liked: The location was great, not too far from the beach but not near the really noisy centre. The room was really clean and big, with a nice comfy bed. The staff were lovely and there was free internet
