Liked: Quiet location

Disliked: Firstly I liked the idea of being quite far from other beaches crowded with people, but when we came we realizes that it's really far away and that we always have to pay a longtail boat to get there. Plus the low tide is coming every night, so in the morning it's not possible to swim and you have to wait for the water to come. So the location is not very good.

Liked: Pan's place is along a secluded beach- wake up with the sound of waves and crickets, jump in for a swim, and have meals served right on the beach under casuarina trees. The facilities are simple, it's like being taken care of by a family. The journey by van takes about 15 minutes from Ao Nang, and we arranged trips with the driver in a fairly informal manner. Best if you are laid back, love a quiet beach with offshore islands, collecting shells, and are flexible with time.

Liked: Location in front of a peaceful beach very quiet and no other tourist arround. The presence of wild life around the beach was nice. Scenery was great with views over other islands.

Disliked: Bed sheets had some stains. Cleanliness of toilets was not very good. Cockroach in toilet and room (buy plenty of killer spray). Rooms cleaned only every 2 days. Water wast turbid and with yellow colour, not the best for showering and cleaning your teeth.

Liked: As a couple we wanted to book a couple of days at Pan's bungalows to relax and we were not disappointed. The location is very private- the beach was very secluded and we were only overlooked by the many crabs on the beach. It was a little haven away from the busyness of the main part of Krabi as well as being very quiet. We barely saw any other tourists at the resort and as such it felt like our own private beach. We were well looked after by Pan and the bungalow itself, although very basic had a very comfortable feel to it and we enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks as well as the beach.

Disliked: The location is fantastic if you want to relax and do not need any other facilities however it is a long way away from any shops or bars and we had to get a taxi if we wanted to eat elsewhere. The food at the resort was excellent however. The accommodation is very basic and there was no electricity in the day time and the bungalow did get warm.

Liked: Quite place and beautiful scenery, brings the human close to nature. Great food at PAN restaurant, helpful staff and very nice owner.

Disliked: it is quite far from the AO-NANG Beach (the closest place where u can buy the stuff and have some fun) once u r back in your bungalow, hard to go back to the market...No access to internet in the respective rooms.

Liked: What I enjoyed most is the quiet yet friendly atmosphere away from the hub of noise and partying. It is a 15 minute trip to town, shopping and some nightlife if one was so inclined. A beautiful stretch of beach with lots of space to relax even with the few other resorts dotting the shoreline.

Disliked: There really wasn't anything that I particulary disliked about the property.

Liked: Beautiful beach with incredible soft sand, beautiful shells. Breattaking view in rocky islands in the sea. Very quiet and remote beach, you can walk to the crowded beach of ao nang in 25 minutes or take a boat. The owner Pan is very friendly, speaks good english and helps with everything. She cooks fantastic authentic thati food and prepares fesh fish so yummy. Bungalows with bathroom and shower, nice and comfortabele (the big ones) with big terrace to sit on in the evening. Nice garden around it. In low tide you can walk to some slands.

Disliked: Dogs barking at night on the beach.

Liked: it was such a sweet and nice place! you got your own beach since the hostel constitutes of several little bungalows located straight on the beach.... very nice! the owners are a family who cook and do everything themselves, very laid-back place really!!! we were - apart from another couple - the only guests, so it was really just us, the owners and the beach....ahhhhh :)... food is awesome! and cheap too. and they do your laundry for you for only 40b/kg. when u go into the water: pay attention to the jellies!!

Liked: The view from the bungalows is truly fantastic with the sea literally just 50 yards from your own room. Rooms are clean and tidy but very basic

Disliked: As the property is in the middle of nowhere you are somewhat forced to eat at the hotel's restaurant which wouldn't be a problem if it was better value and better food. We were a bit disappointed that we had to pay quite a lot for a very average meal. A drop in prices would make this restaurant more desirable. Obviously the location is ideal if you want the luxury of a private beach and the tranquility it brings but be warned that it is about 20mins drive from the main shops and restaurants of Ao Nang and the taxi fare is about 300bht Also we were without water and power for some of our stay and the staff didn't apologise for the inconvenience.

Liked: This is a beautiful resort with a great private beach. Perfect if you want some peace and quiet and great for a romantic holiday. It is quite remote, but you can hire mopeds from the resort. The food was excellent, but a little pricey if you are on a backpackers budget like we were.

Liked: Its a real Thailand. Its beutifull and quiet place. You have got the whole beach for you. Pen the owner is very, very nice and helpfull person. Everything is possible. If you want party, there is Ao Nang beach just 10 minutes by bike or tuktuk away.

Liked: i loved it- it was set in a private off the beaten track location- peaceful with awesome sceneryi would consider going back thereand i do not usually re visit places.it was idillic , and unspoilt,the staff were amazingthere was a boat - for private hire- so you could access quiet islands - the food was amazing - a huge choice

Liked: We stayed here for 4 days and loved the beach-front location. Quite often we were the only people walking on the beach. As the tide goes out quite far the sea was only suitable for swimming in the morning. The people running PAN beach were really friendly and helpful, offering to arrange private fishing trips and provided a taxi service to close by Ao Nang as necessary. The food was good and there was a good range, also cheap. The only down side for us was the lack of hot water and the water had a strange smell!! We would recommend staying here for a few days of relaxation and quiet away from some of the busier resorts but after a few days we were ready to move on again.

Liked: Really nice place, remote location offering rustic accommodation write on the beach. Resturant service is good. Hotel offers taxi service to town for 100 Baht. Hotel offers various boat trips which are very good. If you are looking for a back to nature expierance this is definately the best place to go.

Liked: PAN Beach Bungalow is not in the centre of town but in a remote beach location. This is not a bad thing if you are after a bit of peace and quiet. Both water and road taxies can be organised through PAN so getting around and into town is not a problem. The bungalows are right on the beach and as it is not crowded makes for a very nice setting. We enjoyed our stay here and also had a couple of good days out at the nearby Ao Nang town centre and Railey Beach.

Liked: Pan is a great lady and catered to our every need. The food at the restaurant was great and well priced. We liked the beach there because it is out of the way of all the cheesy backpacker areas and we could have some quiet time if we liked or venture into Aonang to party or shop. The room we stayed in was very basic and the toilet doesn't smell pleasant after a couple of days, but our room was swept and turned over every day and we had a hammock to laze in of an afternoon. Overall, a great stay and I would certainly return.
