Liked: the accomodation was excellent. beautiffully equipped large rooms with a high standard of decoration.the staff are very friendly and helpful and seem to understand the idea of the managementit is not a hotel or guesthouse - more like a house share in atmosphere but privacy is there for you if you want it.great to eat breakfast on the terrace with other guests.pool is very clean and all attention is given to detail.the staff are only on site from 6-6. so you do really feel, this is your place to enjoy. unlike a hotel where you feel you are governed a little.i highly recommend this property.

Disliked: difficult to fault - perhaps the laundry service was a little bit slow by thai standards. but now i am nit-picking

Liked: This was a dream place to stay. We had a warm welcome and the roo, was more like a 4 star hotel. Anyone thinking about staying here should ! I would like to thank all the team at royal cottage for making are stay an unforgettable trip off a life time , Thank you.

Liked: Lovely furnishings, the pictures depict it well. Felt like we were in a posh hotel. Main receptionist and owner were really friendly. Housekeeper a bit dour faced though. 5 Cockroaches in the bathroom freaked us out a bit upon arrival but we requested bug spray and got rid of them all. Ants around the toilet repeatedly returning was a bit annoying. This is prob standard though for Koh Samui. Pool area was fun and clean. Oh we had one power cut during the night where we lost our air-con and light but it came back on after 20mins or so.

Liked: We'd definetely go to stay in this cottage again. It looks like a 4* accomodation with its really nice Thai-style furniture. The staff was also absolutely gorgeous and always friendly. It's a nice little and quiet place and you get to the beach within 3 minutes.

Liked: It is located on a quiet road and suits the traveller who doesn't want to be right in the centre of the action but is only a few minutes away from the beach and the main road with bars and restaurants.The layout and feel of the place is excellent and rooms are very good quality, like a 5 star hotel really mainly because it is a new buildGreat place and the best hotel we stayed in duing out Thailand holiday! Recommended
