Liked: Room was very nice and clean. It had a safety deposit box in the room which was excellent.

Disliked: The bar area wasn't very good. The choices of food for breakfast was very poor.

Liked: this is great place to stay for something different a little bit away from the 'centre' of phi phi bars etc

Disliked: there is a lot of construction on the walk to the property (but there is mass construction everywhere on the island now) so not as beautiful as it used to be.

Liked: That it had character, friendly staff, & it wasn't close to the town what they do not tell you it's quite a big hill to climb. We had a slight problem with the toilet which we had to ask about 3 times & was finally moved rooms, I think this was due to language barriers.

Liked: PP Ingphu is a nice place to stay. I gave it a "good" rating on location because I like to be away from all the partying, but if you like to be in the center of things, then it is not good for you. The towels smelled fresh and they served breakfast for free, which was really tasty. Swiimming in the pool was lovely. We stayed in the middle of the rainy season, so the rain was constantly on and off but when it was off, the pool was really nice to swim in and always clean. The staff are all smiles and really helpful. We felt comfortable asking for anything we needed. The walk to a lot of the houses is a bit of a hike, but exercise is good. Also, there are monkeys. Don't pay to go to Monkey Island because you can see monkeys right in front of your door at this hostel, not all the time but sometimes. Also, this hostel is in real close to proximity to a little shop called the Water Hill. You can buy 12 water bottles for 46 Baht. One water bottle usually costs between 10-20 bought, so getting 12 for 46 is a steal! Stop there on your way up the hill to the hostel. Remember, it is a bit of a walk from the main town.

Disliked: Cold shower, no hot water, BUT after a hot day walking and sweating, it is refreshing. You just have to get used to it. The price is expensive but so is everything on Phi Phi. Everything. I am seriously on a shoestring and this was the most affordable place that was clean and accommodating. As soon as you leave the island, things start getting affordable again.

Liked: Not to far from town just a ten min walk which is a blessing as the beach will have thumping dance music to the early hours. Staff were really helpful and nice.

Disliked: breakfast very, very poor! had to pass next to waterwaste reservoir and a lot of garbage to get to the hostel... bed is very hard would not recommend it to parents with kids, as stairs are pretty steep

Liked: The property has a pool which i didn't realise when i booked it. The staff were friendly and helpful, it was a 10-15 minute away from the bars and nightlife which meant i actually got a decent nights sleep unlike some people i talked to!

Disliked: It was quite far from everything which made for a hot and sweaty walk at least twice a day!

Liked: The views. The private rooms.

Disliked: Our room was right at the very top which was mentioned nowhere. I have asthma and a trek up so many 'steps' (they were way too steep, too high, and still being built as we walked on them!) was not appreciated at all, especially in that heat.

Liked: The staff here were very welcoming, we were picked up in the town by a van, so didn't have to walk so far with backpacks. Good chill out area to watch DVDs you fancy. Breakfast was ok.

Disliked: Horrendous walk to the town/beach. Dangerous path that was only lit up sometimes at night, you need a torch! Room was quite dirty..mosquito net etc. Watch out for the monkeys! Very expensive compared to what you get in the town. We changed accomodation when our booking was up.

Liked: Unique rooms in the trees, when we got off the ferry a man from ingphu collected us and walked to the property which was nice. It looks farther then it is from town, only 5 mins walk

Liked: Staff at this hostel where friendly enough but who isnt in Thailand? They were not overly helpful - didnt even respond to email asking to change booking - staff at our previous hostel had to ring and organise it all happily. The rooms where good enough just way to overpriced. We didnt mind so much the hike out there (with all our luggage no service came for us even on request) but alot of people where complaining about all sorts of things while we were there. Its quiet at night at least if thats something your looking for. I'd recommend staying one or two nights max then finding a cheaper room elsewherer when you are there. We checked out and found a place easily for a third of the cost, double the service, ten times the location and 100times the quality of the room and bathroom. Had a fine time there but wouldnt recommend it to any friends except as a last resort for a night or two.

Liked: I wouldn't come back to this place. You have to walk a lot to get to your room.The view is nice, but it's just too far away from town and the beach.The breakfast is too small and if you want more you have to pay.The bed is very uncomfortable, you could also sleep on the floor.At night it's very noisy...you hear the music from the bars.
