Liked: Linda the owner is very helpful - easy to arrange taxis to Haad Rin (100B for full moon - and only 10 mins away) and the port. Very chilled location, good for chilling out post full moon party, beach is super-quiet. Stayed in Garden View bungalow which was spacious, with good bathroom. Beachfront bungalows looked very relaxed. 10 min walk up to main strip of restaurants, 7/11 etc, but some cute little bars/restaurants on the way up which were lovely and cheap

Disliked: No restaurant/bar, therefore less atmosphere than some of the other hostels on the beach- and even these others were quite quiet. Great for a super chill-out, but I found other beaches to be a little livelier while still being chilled (eg. Haad Salad - more family focussed than Ban Tai, but more beach front restaurants giving it a slightly livelier atmosphere - though this is much further from the full moon party).

Liked: The host was very nice, helpful and polite (like almost all Thai people). The beach is a stone's throw away. The party beach (where the full moon party is) 10 minutes by bike or taxi away. It's good cause you have a nice clean relaxing beach when u don't wanna party.

Disliked: Actually nothing. On a side note, you might need to rent a scooter or something cause the main street is about 10 minutes walk. We did and it really helped!

Liked: Brilliant staff, great rooms at an excellent location, right on a very quiet beach. Only 10mins taxi from the main port and Haad Rin (full moon party). On arrival we were kindly told that the price quoted on hostelbookers was double what we should actually be paying! (This may not still be the case). We were delighted with the honesty and kindness!

Disliked: absolutely nothing at all!

Liked: Good location. Easy to get a taxi to Haad Rin for 100B (for the Full Moon Party) Quiet and peaceful during the day.

Disliked: No restaurant or bar, but 100 m to the left along the beach are other hostels with bars and restaurants where you can meet other travelers. Many slightly cheaper hostels nearby still had rooms available, however it was low season (July) and booking ahead saved hassle and the possibility of being miles from the party!

Liked: average bungalows however not good value for money given the distance from full moon. I had asked for an extra mattress to be put in one bungalow but we weren't allowed to do this. Then when we arrived there was already an extra mattress on the floor but one of us still had to pay for a 2 person bungalow?! Otherwise beach is quite nice and lots of bars/restaurants along the strip nearby.

Disliked: as above!

Liked: I love that it was on a nearly secluded, quiet beach, especially during Full Moon. The owner is a wonderful, kind, and helpful lady that lives on the property.

Liked: Very relaxed atmosphere, great location just out of Haad Rin (main party area, full moon etc) so it was nice and quiet but there are heaps of taxis for about 100B (AU$3). Also right on Bantai Beach. Definitely go to the meat buffet place in the main section of Bantai, its great fun and food! Very friendly staff at Coach bungalow.

Disliked: Probably not the best beach in Koh Pha Ngan. Wouldn't recommend for single travellers as it would be a bit hard to meet people. There is about a 7 minute dark walk to the main strip to get a taxi.

Liked: Great bungalows right on the beach, friendly and very helpful staff. Good alternative to staying in Hat Rin as you actually get to sleep and taxi is only 10 minutes from there anyway. Would highly recommend :)

Liked: Decent little bungalows! 10 mins from Haadrin in cab, right on beach. Parolled by a pack of crazy dogs which is always fun....

Liked: Although Coach bungalows were out of the way from Hadd Rin it was really easy to get a taxi for 2 pounds each way. Te bungalows are on a gorgeous quiet beach which had bars and restaurants dotted along. We stayed around full moon time and had no problems getting there or back. THe owner is a really helpfull lady who lives on site. This is a really nice place to stay however accomodation can be found much cheaper on the same street.
