Liked: Silvery Moon is run by two great, genuine people who made our stay extremely enjoyable. Its about half way between Hat Rin and Thong Sala so its 100 BAHT per person in either direction to get to either one. Slightly out of the way but if you're going for the full moon party its better not to be in the centre of Hat Rin anyway. The Bungalow we stayed in had its own mozzy net, large double bed and hammock outside. The thai lady who runs the place also cooks all the food which works on a tab you have to pay every two days. All Food and drink is great value. The bungalows are right on the beach so its a nice 30 minute walk along the coast to get into Hat Rin. The sun sets on this side of the island so its a good time to make the walk. On the night of the full moon party the owners put on a BBQ for all the guests and got the UV paint out to decorate ourselves for the night ahead. Definately Recommend! The only thing that lets this place down is the journey from the road to the Silvery Moon which is down steep path which can be difficult to negotiate after a few drinks.

Liked: Our stay was very nice, we even stayed longer there.but there are some important things to mention:it's hard to go for a swim there: you have to rent the canoe, the water is for about 100m only about 50cm deep, the problem is the coral reef that makes it impossible to walk until you can swim.and we also had problem with the parking situation, as most of the travellers rent a motorbike during their stay we also did. but the slope was very precipitous- you really have to take care that the motorbike is not falling down the slope- even there is a small parking place made of concrete.But all in all, we felt very comfortable and the owners are also very friendly.

Liked: like the familiar atmosphere. the beach is more or less unswimmable, but nice at all. very hided place, keep your eyes open if u want to reach it with rented motobike or car.

Liked: Such a lovely place to get away from it all and relax on a very quiet beach. Don't stay here if you want to stay up all night partying (have to be quiet after midnight) but do stay here if you want character, wonderful Thai (and western) home cooking, quiet beach with clear seas, gorgeous sunsets and relaxing in the shade on your own bungalow hammock. We loved it.

Liked: Bungalow on the beach, very friendly staff, motor free area, fare from any other hostel, beach BBQ, 150m from the main road but no noise. Amazing place to stay if you want somewhere quiet to relax after party. The best place if you rent a scooter, 2min from Hat rin or 25min walk.

Liked: The friendleness and helpfulness of the staff and the cooking is the best. It is a good place to relax and a party place during the full moon half moon ect...The only thing I didnt like was that it was always a taxi ride to get to town so not so conveniant. It is a cheap place to stay but if you do not take everything you need you will spend the money on catching taxi's to town
