This is a great place to meet interesting people. The owners are AMAZING! It is very basic accomodation, but in a beautiful location. It is in a very isolated and quiet location, but the owners and other guests make sure you have fun. If you are looking for a quiet place to meet interesting people, Silvery Moon is the best.

Good food; Awesome owners, they went out of the way to create a fun and friendly atmosphere. Its about 40 min walk from the main hat rin beach or a 10 min taxi ride; the hostel itself is located on a very beautifull remote beach. Highly recommended

The staff are absolutely brilliant and really do make you feel at home. The Thai Green Curry is a must for all, not forgetting relaxing around the table with other backpackers. A great place to stay after a hard night/morning partying at the full moon.

Friendly staff. Secluded location away from Haad Rin. Should rent motorbike. Get the Suzuki Step 125 if you will have two people on the bike.

The Food was amazing, and it is so nice to be on the beach, with just forest behind you, no noise from roads, bars or people to hassle you. This is a great place to meet people and indulge in Koi's beautiful cooking. The green curry is legendary, and the red is good too, you needn't eat out!! Eating coconuts that have been picked from the trees and drinking a beer at sunset, superb!! Basic but perfect!!!!!

Very friendly owners who were helpful, acomodating and interacted with the guests. Very relaxing place to stay, excellent atmosphere, made to feel at home, far enough away from the main party spots to be able to sleep, but close enough to walk down and join in if you wanted.

The couple running were really friendly. There was a chilled out atmosphere at the hostel and people were really friendly - easy to meet people but you had to go into Haad RIn with them to party - were drinks but a chilled out rather than party atmosphere

The mangers were really nice and made me feel very comfortable. As a young woman travelling by herself this was really important. The location was nice as it was right next to a secluded beach but it was quite a bit out of town. This could be walked in about 30-40mins or by taxi which came past often. To get to the bungalows you had to walk down a really steep hill which wasn't great in the rain but they help you back up with your backs.
They make the best sandwiches!!!!!!!

Staff are second to none. This was the highlight of our stay in Thailand and probably S.E. Asia. The bungalows are fantastic. The food, although a bit limited is fantastic and Koy even teaches to you cook what your eating!!! Its a lovely 40 minute stroll to the Hat Rin (Full moon party beach), which makes this place even more ideal. GO HERE if you want a quiet few days with the option of visiting the crazy Hat Rin some nights. The bungalows are queit with relaxing music the only noise about during the day, and that to us was paradise. The bungalows are only steps from the beach, which is always beutiful, but only swimmable at high tide!!!

this was probably my favorite place out of my entire month of traveling. it's only a short walk on the beach from the town but it's pradise and the beach is private. you can get kayaks down the beach and other activities. The woman who runs it was extremely nice and an amazing cook. I would go back just for her green curry dishes and omletes. she even went with us to the black moon party. We liked it so much that we never went into town. if you want a night life, I don't recommend staying here. it's better for people who want to relax and experience the natural beauty of Thailand. we would have breakfast everymorning 18 steps from the water and sit under palm trees all day.

It is very quiet and relaxed, good for quiet getaway, You can walk along the beach 40mins to Haad Rin (main Beach - full moon etc) which is really nice especially at night when the tide is out! The couple who own it are really friendly and helpful. However not the best for socialising but the foods good, and two of the share bathroom rooms are right on the beach - Fantastic especially for the price. (No Internet and 3 bed 'on the beach room' is not actually on the beach its in the garden) all in all well worth the money!
