Liked: Close to beach. Very cheap! so the negitive factors need to take this into consideration.

Disliked: Staff seemed to not care too much about you. Tap in room did not work. Safety wise we experienced a dog late at night while walking back to our room, this dog was incredibly aggressive and we had to use a chair to block it from us while we attempted to get to our room, not the hostels fault, but nevertheless was not great. The backpackers is very close to the party central and it was very noisy in our room, however earplugs helped a lot.

Liked: we had a cement air condition ropm with and ensuite. There weren't really any bugs. I like the showing of movies. There were places to eat and such near by

Disliked: It wasn't on the beach and you had to either cross a lil river knee deep or walk around the little town. Only took like 10-15 min though so not to bad

Liked: Movie nights are great, love having a good movie every night... food is good, and service good too... they offer all kinds of services so if you feel lazy and don't want to go looking around for other places then you can do all here, from motorbike rental, to laundry or tours... awesome!

Disliked: the room they first gave us wasn't ready and we had to wait, after waiting they decided to change us to another one that had bats, a big salamandra and some poop in the beds so they changed us to a third room in much better condition...would have been best if they offered the good room at the beginning... nothing major...everything good.

Liked: Very good vibes and atmosphere, it was low season so it was quiet. Really close to all the bars, and about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. Their own mini mart was very convinient, and also played a movie in the lounge area every night. Staff was quiet, but helpful when you needed it anything. My overall stay was very nice, simple, and relaxing :)

Disliked: My mosquito net in my room was in pretty bad shape, a lot of holes. the only thing I suggest is investing in new ones. Other than that no complaints.

Liked: Advise having the upgrade with aircon, friends suffered without, make sure you are equiped with mossey sprays, also be pepared for noise of the surrounding bars, although this is quite managable, ear plugs were a bonus !!! sheets clean and bed comfey, shower and loo fine.

Disliked: It is basic but you get what you pay for !!!

Liked: Friendly staff, good restaurant/ bar which plays a different film every night. Close to shops and other bars. A 5 minute walk to Lonely beach. Huts are clean and if you have the chance go for the aircon hut a they are much bigger, hot shower, towlels and more insect free as the wooden fan huts.

Liked: They have all different price levels of bungalows, and we stayed in one for 400 baht, and were pleasantly suprised. Our porch had a hammock, and there were lots of pillows for hanging out in the restaurant/deck area. We really enjoyed our stay here. Not very close to the beach, but close to bars and restaurants, and it wasn't noisy at night.

Liked: Had a wooden twin bungalow. Big beds with mosquito net, ensuite toilet and shower, and a little porch. everything you need, but nothing more

Disliked: There's a lot of noise from all the nearby bars at night, but nothing earplugs can't handle

Liked: Nice vibe about the place. Chilled out hang out area. Good food. They put on a movie eveynight. Bar up the road had a band everynight. Next door theres a 24hr mini mart with a very jolly man!

Disliked: Turned up and it was fully booked - not too much of a problem as they put you elsewhere, just slightly irritating. Sometimes loud music from the bars plays on into the ealry hours. Ear plugs are my new best friend.

Liked: Good selection of meals, friendly service. More or less clean rooms. Hot shower available, the bungalow itself and the resort in a good condition.

Disliked: We booked a private ensuite room (bungalow). Interior of bungalow was worn and seemed to be a collection of disposed furniture. Nothing to hang your clothes. Only a 70thies plastic drawer cabinet and some chairs. All in all not very inviting and not much athmospere. Compared to all other stays of our trip it seemed overpriced. Lonely beach itself seems to be some kind of oversized tattoo shop.

Liked: the staff are fun and welcoming and the food is good and not too expensive. there is free wifi for guests too.

Disliked: you can hear music from the nearby bars late into the night. Also we had to pay a little more than we expected when we arrived.

Liked: Good and cheap food and beer. Friendly and helpfull staff. Movies at 7pm every night, very nice.

Disliked: About 10 min walk to the beach. We stayed for one week and they never cleaned our room or emptyed the bins.

Liked: Fantastic staff - really helpful and welcoming. Great location (10 minute walk to the beach, near loads of bars and handy for transport links) and very sociable. Movies every night, nice food and just a great place to meet people.

Disliked: I stayed in one of the 400 baht beach huts and it was VERY basic - gaps between the ceiling and walls so bug-tastic, no towel included, holes in the mosquito net and it was quite noisy at night.

Liked: Good hammock in the terrase

Disliked: No comfort in the room - alone bed. No racks,hangers,hooks for clothers ,towel,no distbin. No sink in buthroom, no toilet paper ... We escaped from there after one night.

Liked: It's in a good location in some ways - close to the bars and restaurants of Lonely Beach

Disliked: It's unfortunately next to the party bar of the resort which played late '90s dance at unbelievable volumes into the wee hours. It's also a good 10 minute walk to the beach but you either stay on the beach and have to walk to the bars/restuarants or vice versa. The room also wasn't cleaned in the week we stayed there. They also shut the comunal area and turned the lights off at around 9pm with no one around in case there were any problems.

Liked: Loved this place and stayed well over our planned time there. The couple that run this place and their employers are the best and will do everything you need. Nothing over the top but for a Island place to call home this is one we fell in love with on Koh Chang. Laid back chill atmosphere to chat up with others staying there or passing through for dinner. In the middle of some of the madness but quiet most nights at a reasonable time.

Liked: Really cool place ended up staying longer than planned!!! so chilled out and thomas (the owner) helped us sort out the next stage of our trip, so really helpful. Huts were just what you needed and a great place to mingle with other travelers. Really enjoyed my stay at sunflower and would recommend it and its amazing banana Shakes in the mornings...
