Liked: A good place for a short stay before catching a ferry to the islands. We booked 2 nights as we arrived in Chumphon in early hours of morning from Bangkok. You're able to check in at the side door if very late/early. We walked from the train station with our bags took about 10 minutes and the location is good as on a main street with places to eat & drink close by. We also booked our ferry tickets with the staff in the electronics store downstairs, which included being picked up from the apartments
Disliked: The sign in English for Young Dee apartments is very small I had to ask someone otherwise I'm not sure I would've found it and arriving at 4.30am the electronics shop downstairs was closed. There isn't a sign in English that says Young Dee Technology Centre (or whatever the name of the electronics shop is called). Slightly cleaer directions from the train station - it is walking distance straight down the road with the old train engines in the middle to a crossroads, straight on and Young Dee apartments is about the same distance again on the left side.

Liked: This is not a hostel, but it's a good spot to stay if you need to spend the night in Chumphon before catching a ferry to the islands. The room was clean and there were many restaurants nearby. The staff didn't speak the best English but were great in finding people to help me organise my bus and ferry.
Disliked: It is hard to find as the sign is quite small and under an awning. What I thought was a small electronics store is actually a huge store that sells fridges and freezers etc. so it isn't easy to find if you don't know what you're looking for.
