The hostel was fine, quite a way out of town, we tried to walk it and failed! The staff were generally helpful and friendly and the room was nice enough. It has a restaurant/bar/sitting area out the back over looking the river which is very nice and the food is good and cheap, but they close the restaurant when they feel like it, so your not always guarenteed dinner! I did like it, but wouldn't stay again simply because it is too far out of town. Also, it says it has free internet, but its only 1 computer and you can only use until 9pm.

The staff we great, the rooms were cosy and had air con, the bathroom was cleaned. The food/bar was great and very cheap and I loved the fact they had their own tuk tuk service! The view was nice and I loved the character of the guesthouse, very warm and inviting.

this hostel was in a good location next to the river with easy access to the busier parts of chiang mai. not alot to do around the hostel but great for relaxing and the staff are great. they organised our trek for us and even told us where an outdoor pool was; which in the heat was a haven!!

Hollandra Montri is in northeast Chiang Mai city. It's on the big river. The food is excellent, The staff helpful. The rooms are clean with tiled floor. It's quiet at night, and better for couples. I stayed here with my girlfriend, many guests were older than us. The communal fridges are stocked with free small bottles of drinking water. In a word: Magnificent.

The bar and restaurant were fantastic...excellent Thai curries!
Plus the all female staff were hilarious and very friendle and extremely helpful, with very impressive English for the most!
A fantastic place to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai old town and right on the river too!!!
