Liked: the rooms were cleaned everyday, when we had a leak in our bathroom ceiling they moved us straight away to another room with no problems, for the price we paid (about 2 quid a night) for female dorm we couldnt complain was really nice atmosphere and could book tirps and stuff there. drinks were really cheap and everyone was so chilled!! enjoyed our stay here!

Disliked: not a lot! rooms are very basic but are clean!

Liked: Everything, we couldn't have stayed at a better place. It is right in the heart of the city, you can get your laundry done across the street at a very good price. The staff was so helpful and realy cool, and I met more people there then i did my entire trip. I would go back to Chaing Mai just for one more night here.

Liked: nice and friendly (and cheap!)

Disliked: it is very busy and was a little noisy - but nothing ear plugs couldn't cope with. also some cobwebs in the toilets...but for the money i spend, still happy!

Liked: It was full with other backpackers and the communal areas means it was easy to meet new people, lots of options for trekking and tours, up a quiet soi but a minute walk from restaurants bars etc..., dorm beds are good value (fan is sufficient). Went to Halloween party with about 15 other guests and the staff!!!

Disliked: As it was full, sometimes getting into the bathroom in the morning (i.e. when everyone gets up to do a tour/trek) was difficult.

Liked: Easy going staff let me stay for a few extra days with no hassel! met some cool people which I am now travelling around with! Great value for money, cannot go wrong!

Liked: They have a really nice garden to hang out. Staff is very friendly.

Disliked: I disliked the plastic they put around the matrass. And the 10 bed dorm was very hot to sleep in, even with the fans. The plastic around the matrass made it worse to sleep there.

Liked: This hostel is possibly one of the best that I have stayed in in Thailand. The staff are brilliant, despite the rooms having no air con there are so many fans that it doesn't feel too warm. Excellent place to meet people, whether you're in a group or on your own. BRILLIANT HOSTEL!!!!

Disliked: No air con in our room. Turns out I decided it's worth the extra money to get it, especially if you go during a hotter time of year.

Liked: A breath of fresh air! Little bird has been exactly what we needed. Its cheap, the beds are good, great location, great staff, a place to chill out, friendly people...I would recommend this hostel to other friendly young travellers looking for piece of mind and similar souls. Go on little bird - we love you :)

Liked: plusses: a great place to meet people, great location near somphet market for cheap eats and fresh fruit. minuses: the staff don't have a clue about chiang mai, the answer to my questions about atms, food places, tuk tuk costs etc were all 'i don't know'.

Liked: Pretty good hostel with a good common area and great location. Only thing we didn't like was that the mattresses were covered in thick plastic, making them rather unpleasant to sleep on. But.. in saying that, the plastic was to prevent mites and bedbugs and stuff so it's not that bad, just weird to sleep on. The hostel is super clean.
