Liked: Great location - not right in the centre of town but walking distance from the train station and on the right side of town for the night markets and bars just 5mins over the bridge. Lovely roof terrace area and although staff don't speak much English they are very polite and helpful. Basic room at a great price.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: I thought that good will guest house is a pleasant place to stay the staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome.

Liked: We enjoyed our stay at Good Will Guesthouse. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, the hostel is in a fairly quiet location but near to shops and some food places. The rooms are nice and perfectly functional. The roof terrace is a bonus as it's a nice place to sit and eat meals or just chill out. There are also a few different areas to sit inside too with book swap facilities etc. Everywhere seemed clean.

Disliked: We wouldn't recommend staying here if you are on your own and/or don't like walking down alleyways in the dark. It's also quite a long way from most major sights and not really a place to stay if you like partying every night and being in the midst of things. Although it is in quite a quiet area, we got woken up a few times by barking dogs! The staff were really friendly until we asked if we could leave our bags there on the last day for a few hours and got a resounding 'no!' as a one-word answer.

Liked: Large, clean room and very friendly staff! We turned up at 7am (off a night bus from Ayutthaya) and they let us store our luggage there until check-in time - having probably woken them up! - so we could go off exploring Chiang Mai in the morning. Very near the night market and an easy walk to the centre - great place to stay!

Disliked: The internet was very slow and not cheap - there are better deals in the city, so shop around a bit! You are also only allowed one toilet roll...we had to pay when we ran out and asked for another - not much, but it was still a bit odd!

Liked: Nothing really it was cheap.

Disliked: Far from town. Didn't have a common area. Front gate is locked early at night. In a residential area so hard and relatively unsafe feeling finding your way back at night.

Liked: Very friendly and uncomplicated family run guesthouse. Not close to the action (if without bike), but close to the trainstation. Rooms are spacious and clean! Not the typical backpackers but more long term visitors. Has a kitchen that can be used.

Disliked: Maybe the location is not excellent for everyone, but we didn't care, since we had bikes.

Liked: One of the best places we have stayed - great staff, location is wonderful and close to amenities, and the alley mentioned before is well used and takes about 30 seconds to walk down. Wonderful value for money, highly recommended.

Disliked: Nothing negative to say about the property.

Disliked: bathroom no toilet paper and the fact that taxi or tuktuk drivers could not find it, it was really noisy

Liked: The staff were really nice and helped us in every way they could even though their English wasn't great. Its a nice quite spot with a quick walk into town. Very close to the night bazaar.

Disliked: No restaurant but Bens guest house is across the road which is good cheap food.

Liked: Really friendly and helpful family run guesthouse. Very peaceful, just a short walk away from the night bizarre and the city centre. We hired bikes from the guesthouse and had a great couple of days cycling around Chiang Mai.

Disliked: Nothing, it was all good.

Liked: it was cheap and away from the main city.

Disliked: The windows don't close so you don't feel particularly safe and every morning you're greeted with a 5:30 wake up call from the 5 dogs right outside! They charge you extra for EVRYTHING, be warned if you're expecting air con...iit's an extra 400 bhat per night. You can get a room with it as standard in the city for MUCH less! Also...the password for the WIFI is 'goodwill'....just incase they try and charge you for that too!!!

Liked: Really good value for money and in a perfect location just off the river. It has a lovely rooftop terrace and kitchen so you can cook for yourself or just buy in some cereal as we did! The staff are fantastic and incredibly helpful and kind. We really enjoyed our stay and are going to stay at Good Will again when we go back to Chiang Mai.

Disliked: The only negative is that Good Will is down a long alley which is quite dark at night but as lots of people walk down it so it's not too bad!

Liked: Rooms are very clean and the people who run it seem nice.

Disliked: We were told on the phone that it would be okay to push our booking back one day as we had not managed to get the transport originally planned to Chiang Mai. When we arrived after the long journey they told us it was not ok and charged us for the night we weren't there.

Liked: Clean room, friendly staff, very cheap beer and the roof fan is excellent so no need for air-con.

Disliked: No restaurant but they do have free use of a kitchen on the roof terrace so not a big problem.

Liked: cheap accomodation within walking distnace to everything, very friendly staff and near lots of cafes and restauramts

Disliked: isnt withing the city so you do have to walk quite far, only one computer for internet but internet cafe close

Liked: The people are soooo nice although only one Thai woman can speak a minimal amount of English (the rest cannot). The place is super clean and peaceful. I ended up extending my stay here. Love it and would come back.

Disliked: Lizards everywhere. LOL... I didn't like you have to walk a loooong secluded alley to get to the main road and there are not many means of transportation on this side of the Ping River.

Liked: it is a very nice hostel, no so touristical but with all the services you can need. The room are large, lighty and clean. The bed is confortable but not so soft, but ok. There is a roofterrass really nice where you can enjoy the night even when is raining. There is also a kitchen there with all what you need. It s also well located even is out of the old city (but is more quiet during night) and you can rent motor\bikecycle to go there.The best point: the staff!! really nice and friendly people who always try to help you.
