Liked: Lovely setting. Peaceful place to be. The lady who owns it is very helpful.

Disliked: Bit of a walk into the old city but it would not put me off staying here again or recommending it.

Liked: This Guest House is amazing just what I needed after a long haul Hostess fantasic, friendly, accommodating. She bokked my trips and took me to my next Guest House as she was fully booked . Great location lovely restaurants art and close to old city-easy to walk in

Liked: Aor from Tanita was such a wonderful hostess. If I could rate all of the above as EXELLENT I would. I can't tell you how wonderful this place is...you must see it to believe it and tell Aor that Tracey and Julia from California sent you.... So amazing this place.

Liked: Tanita House was amazing! The property was a beautiful original Thai style house and outbuildings (some 155 years old!) The atmosphere was really peaceful and it was only a stones throw from the heart of chang mai. The owner of the property was friendly and helpful, always happy to do whatever she could to make our stay even better. The breakfast was great too! I cannot recommend this place more highly, it was definitely value for money with added extras of atmosphere and friendliness.

Liked: Tanita house is a lovely little retreat away from the busy Chiang Mai. The wooden bungalows are very traditional in style and are a lovely place to chill out and relax in. The staff are very helpful and always friendly. Orr was fantastic in booking all our tours and was a lovely friendly face to greet us everyday.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: This guesthouse has the "wow" factor: it took my breath away as I entered off the busy street into the quiet compound filled with greenery and artwork. The guesthouses are authentic buildings, part of the ancestral home. Very simple but very tasteful.

Disliked: I did not dislike anything, but for people who want to watch TV or listen to the radio, this is not the place for you. However, if you want an oasis of calm, Tanita House is highly recommended.

Liked: We loved EVERYTHING about this property and the owner and staff! It was beautiful and charming and excellent value. The owner is friendly and lovely and will do everything she can to help you. She booked all our trips and activities, and went out her way to make our complete stay enjoyable. As I said my friends and I loved it, and if your looking for a place to stay I would highly and only recommend Tanita house. If I ever go back I'll be staying at Tanita house!

Liked: Everything about this place is fantastic. the accommodation, spacious and spotless, the breakfast amazing, the owner and staff, helpful and friendly and the location just perfect. The garden setting is like a paradise in the city. We cant speak highly enough of our stay here...

Liked: Peaceful and typical bungalows that made our stay in Chiang Mai much more enjoyable and pleasant.

Disliked: Only the bathroom. But they are all the same in most Thailand: they have no curtains or partitions to separate the shower frome the rest of the bathroom.

Liked: The building was fantastic - real charm and very tranquil. The locals who came to visit us there all remarked how lovely the house was.Breakfast was also fantastic - we requested Thai food, and the two breakfasts were some of the best food we ate whilst in Thailand!Aor was also a wonderful host, full of good tips on what to do and where to eat - I would definitely ask her advice whilst staying there!Tanita House also had free computer use for guests, which was excellent.

Disliked: We found the place to be great, but some people might think that the beds were too hard. Tanita House supplies towels but not toiletries, just in case people are expecting all the trimmings of a hotel.

Liked: I loved the owner of the hotel - she was really helpful and accommodating. Also the hotel has a great relaxed vibe and is in a cool old teak building with a small courtyard to hang out in.

Disliked: It would be nice if there was a pool.

Liked: If you want to stay away from all the touristy area of Chiang Mai and you'd love to chill out in a magic place, Tanita is your choice. Wonderful garden with beautiful wooden bungalows. Very clean and comfortable. All the staff are LOVELY since the first minute you arrive, and will help you in anything you need and they will make you feel at home. Free internet, breakfast and tea and coffee any time you need it. If what you want is party and noisy bars next door, this is not your place. Next to a very local market it makes it even more interesting. Definitely a gem in Chiang Mai. I highly recommend this place!
