Liked: really friendly and helpful staff. all tours/buses etc can be booked from the hostel and you AREN'T charged tonnes of commision, everything is very reasonably priced. The food is great, although more expensive than you can normally get. Stella, the cook,is crazy!

Liked: Staff were very friendly and the hostel was very clean, especially considering the price. WiFi reception in the room was excellent, and the rooftop area is a very pleasant place to wind down the day.

Liked: Green Tulip House was by far one of the nicest places I stayed during my one month SE Asia tour. The managers (Nine and Stella) were amazingly hospitable and personal. Each of them made it a point to learn my name within the first few hours of checking in, and each morning I'd come downstairs and be greeted by name by both of them. They also have an amazing abundance of treks, tours, and outings to chose from that were very reasonably priced. The cafe downstairs serves some really amazing food (both Thai and continental). It was really nice waking up every morning to a breakfast that included eggs, toast, bacon, orange juice, and tea for only $3! If you visit Chiang Mai, you should definitely definitely stay here.

Liked: Fantastic hostel. The staff in particular were brilliant, very friendly, welcoming and arranged some great deals for us such as trekking and a bus to vientiane. The rooms were very spacious and clean. All in all a great place to stay, so much so we extended our stay by another 2 nights.

Liked: AMAZING! Never stayed in such a lovely place. It is spotlessly clean and the rooms are large and airy. The staff are incredible, really helpful and friendly. It felt like a home from home. I'd recommend booking trips with them as they are cheaper than going to a travel agent, and there is a huge choice. We went for "jungle Flight", elephant riding and white water rafting. 100% from me!

Liked: Fantastic value for money! The Green Tulip is a gorgeous hostel; exceptionally clean and spaceous. It has a great vibe and staff are very welcoming. We loved that you leave your shoes downstairs and walk around on the hostels beautiful wooden floors barefoot - polite and a nice touch! They have loads of info on activities and places to see and do. The recommendations we took up were spot on! The rooms are classed as having air-con (which is a large free standing fan) and unfortunately do not have safety deposit boxes in the room. No need to worry as this place is very safe and they lock up the hostel in the evening. Food and drink here is very cheap and they have free wi-fi and 2 computers. We extended our stay here by 2 days as Chiang Mai is so laid back and interesting, and the Green Tulip is a perfect base to explore!

Liked: What an excellent hostel to stay, the staff Stella and Nine were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The hostel rooms are lovely and clean and so are the showers and the food is good there too. I would recommend other travellers to stop at Green Tulip and it is very good value for money and last but not least it is the best hostel I have stayed in during my 5 months of travelling in USA, New Zealand, Australia and Thailand.

Liked: i loved everything about this place and all the 100% reviews below i agree with amazing polished floors, spotless bathrooms n bedrooms and as for the staff the best!! douglas, nine and of course stella (shame she liverpool fan haha) make this place special! make sure u book your activities through here, nine was very very helpful and got a cheeky discount for me. i will be staying there again asap!! 100% recommend!
