Liked: we really enjoyed our stay in the green tulip house! the owners are really friendly, enthousiastic and helpful! everything is very, very clean, including the bathrooms. It's a great place to stay in chang mai!

Liked: the location is pretty awesome. in walking distance of markets and a few temples. the hostel istelf is very clean and the staff are VERY helpful. if you aren't sure of what to do there is plenty of information in the place to help you decide and staff are willing to offer suggestions and help in anyw way they can. we had a shared bathroom but the shower was pretty decent and the room was spacious, clean and the fan was very much needed. wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place

Liked: It would be difficult for anybody not to give this place 100%. From the moment we walked in, we loved it. The staff are so friendly, if not a little crazy (only in a good way mind). They helped us book all trips and we ended up staying much longer than originally planned. The twin room was spacious and clean with air-con and balcony. We also got breakfast and the room was made up every day. Location is great and Tiger the dog rocks..even if all he does is sleep

Liked: It was clean and the location was perfect! Stella and Nine became our thai parents for the few days we were there, helped us organise our days and trips to ensure that we got everything in!

Liked: Green Tulip was a very bright and friendly place. The staff was more than helpful and always had a smile on their face. The floors were immaculate as they ask you to remove your shoes before going upstairs where the rooms are. The rooms were spacious enough for 2 people (we had a double room) and was absolutely worth the 300 baht we paid!

Disliked: The only complaint I have is that there were these little tiny ants or something on the sheets and on the floor of the room. Other than that the place was great.

Liked: Very friendly owners "Stella and Nine" who will help to book tours, tuk-tuks with out ripping you off. The rooms have a colonial feel and seem to be very clean, shared bathrooms are also clean and functional.

Disliked: Perhaps not the cheapest fan room available in Chang Mai..

Liked: Our stay here was great. The hostel is easy to find and good value for money. It was extremely clean at all times and the staff were very helpful. The facilities were excellent. More than this though, it was just a little different and smarter than the hostels you would usually stay in.

Disliked: If I had to pick a fault - the staff, although helpful, could sometimes get a bit carried away when trying to sell you things. It could feel a bit like a pressure sale more than a simple reccommendation.

Liked: Amazing place. About a 4 min walk to wat prah Singh, the 7-11 and the Sunday markets!Khun Stella and Khun Nine who run the place are 2 of the most friendly and helpful people vie ever met....and a bit nuts too. Very nice building, very interesting, love the roof garden, and the open cafe area.

Disliked: Shame a fan room does not include free breakfast. Although the place is immaculate. Eat ANY food in the room and ants WILL find you.

Liked: A great value guesthouse. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The cleanest place I have stayed in Thailand, rooms were quiet and the beds were comfortable. The owners and managers go out of their way to make for an exceptional stay. There is no pressure to take any of the tours/classes on offer, but I would recommend that you do as they are carefully chosen and quality controlled. Excellent!
