Liked: Had a very short yet a great stay at the Green Tulip. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hostel was very well run at such a great price... Hopefully I can go back someday and stay there for longer!

Disliked: Thought it was all great... Nothing in particular to my dislike.

Liked: Green Tulip House is spotlessly spotlessly clean! The rooms were clean, simple, comfortable and great value. The staff were extremely helpful, organising everything I needed from airport transfers to tours all at great prices. They obviously love running the guest house and take a genuine interest in their guests. I felt very at home here and next time I'm in Chiang Mai I will definitely stay here again. The food in their restaurant was beautiful too. :)

Liked: it was so spotless clean.... and very friendly staff The single room I had was absolutely value for money, spacious and a good bed.

Disliked: the showers were not that hot. In wintertime (which is now) it is not very pleasant to take a shower but in summertime it will be OK I guess

Liked: The staff were fantastic, the tours are excellent value, the rooms are large and airy and the place is soo clean!!

Liked: It was very clean and modern. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal. The price and value of rooms was great. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable. The internet was fast and available for use any time. Washrooms were very clean, available anytime I needed and had hot water. THe common area was relaxing and gave opportunity to I meet other friendly travellers. The rooftop was nice for stretching, yoga, relaxing any time of day.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: This is the most amazing guest house in Thailand. If you are in Chiang Mai you have to stay here.

Liked: Everything and more...! I ended up booking x2 more nights so 12 nights in total, Christmas and New Year was amazing...!

Liked: Stella and Nine were so helpful and had such good knowledge about the best value for money/fun tours - listen to their advice - it's brilliant! Looking after an elephant for a day at Thai Elephant Home was a trip highlight, and doing the cookery class at Siam Rice Cookery School was great too. Other good things about Green Tulip - the hostel is spotlessly clean. Also, I was travelling by myself and staying in a single room so was worried I wouldn't meet anyone but Stella and Nine kept on introducing me to other travellers so I was never alone unless I wanted to be. A lovely hostel in a quiet. non-touristy part of the old town.

Liked: As promised by Hostelbookers.com the hostel was very very clean. Also it seemed as if there was nobody present in the hostel despite the fact that it was almost full. Good location. Very good room considering the price.

Disliked: Owner (woman) had a bad attitude and was a control freak. This initiated a tense unpleasant atmosphere.

Disliked: Noisy as next to the main road, bed very hard and showers luke warm at best.

Liked: Fantastic staff who were so helpful in making our stay in Chiang Mai a brilliant experience. We arrived very early in the morning and a room was made available to us after spending all night on a bus from Bangkok. Stella was a great character and ensured we made the most of our stay. In the end, we didn't want to leave.

Liked: super clean. great location in town and very close to the sunday market. the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Liked: Very clean, fast wifi, spacious roof terrace

Disliked: Food is outrageously expensive and you have to walk a long way to get to where the main concentration of restaurants are. There is a fairly hard sell on the tours.

Liked: Very new and clean and very cheap!! Little walk to the active areas, but easy to walk or using the fabulous Thai public transport systems (red pick-uo\p for 20 Baht a ride)

Liked: l stayed for 1 week in early november. l came back to chiang mai 2 weeks later and stayed again. next time l come to chiang mai [and there will be a next time] l will stay there. it's the cleanest hotel l've ever stayed at, to call it spotless is an understatement, you could eat your meals off the bathroom floor! it's quiet, friendly, good for families.

Disliked: there is absolutely nothing to dislike about this hotel.
