Liked: excellent value for money! cheap!!! and extremely clean! spacious room clean bathroom. staff is very helpful, agreed to let us downgrade our room without any hassle. staff was honest and helpful in recommending the tour packages. the Siam Rice cooking programme they offered was great fun and cheaper than those in bangkok. activities and tour offered has discounts. hostel is 2 min from Sunday Market which is the best night market with everything a tourist wants and cheap souvenirs and snacks. near the Thaepe Gate boxing stadium and tickets are available from the hostel staff for a local Thai boxing match. good fun!

Liked: Nine was such a fantastic help with booking all the activities I wanted to pack into my stay! She is incredibly knowledgable about all the things there are to do in Chiang Mai and will give an honest opinion of each of the tour options.

Liked: The owner was extremely helpful. She helped is book activities during the days and even made suggestions about where we should plan to go for the next lag of our trip.

Liked: Nine and Stella are two of the nicest ladies around and both formidable characters (in the best possible way). I stayed a good while at Green Tulip and really appreciated the way that both of them looked after me - I had complete confidence in booking through them and they didn't let me down. Stella is a great cook, too, which helps. If you're looking for a quiet, clean, friendly place to stay in Chiang Mai on the edge of the old city, look no further.

Liked: cheap and cheerful, owner was awesome

Disliked: There was one receptionist woman and she said she was fully booked because we booked a cooking course from outside the hotel. which was pretty petty to be honest.

Liked: the green tulip was definately green and looked like a funky place to stay. The main host was very helpful and would get you discounts on alot of trips/events.

Disliked: the property was not heaving with guests. You did meet a few people and it was easy to getalong because you were the only ones there. if only there were more people to take advantage of this great place. the other thing when going out and coming back late, you had to ring the door and wake up the host. this felt kind of guilty as they've been so helpful during the day. this place just needs a reason to expand.

Liked: We loved this place! it was so clean, could literally see our faces in the floor! there were lots of tours on offer and a good place to meet people. it is not located directly on the main streets but it was only a 10 minute walk from everything.

Liked: Absolutely everything! Really helpful staff, Nine (the manager) made our stay in Chiang Mai so memorable. Booked all our trips here with great discounts! Super clean rooms, great food served in bar and location is ideal! We'll definitely be back!

Liked: I loved everything about the Green Tulip, the food was great, the rooms and facilities were immaculate, the staff were always there to help or give advice on anything and everything you needed to know and extremely great value for money. Also it was excellent that i could come to reception and ask them for their recommendation on all the trips and activities with regards to the value and the experience and book everything i wanted there and then hassle free. I would now regard the staff as good friends after my stay and will definitely be hoping to return here some time in the future for another fantastic stay. This was without doubt the nicest, friendliest, most comfortable hostel i stayed in while in Thailand, a home away from home is probably the best description.

Liked: Average, but clean and tidy. Not all the staffs are friendly. I think some improvement is needed in that area.

Disliked: You have to take your shoes off each time you are going to your room from the counter.

Liked: This place is amazing value for money! The place is clean, friendly and full of atmosphere. It offered great tours at great prices, so is a great place to base your travels around North Thailand.

Liked: The friendlyness of the staff and how they helped you book any tour you wanted to do. Also the cleaness of the rooms and bathroom was so good.

Disliked: Nothing, it was perfect and we would stay here again if we came to Chiang Mai

Liked: very clean, staff remembering every customers name, safe, not too far from the city center, big choice of offered tours, rooftop terrace over 2 floors, laundry service available

Disliked: the small and loud fan-room is not to recommend during hot weather, i booked a daytour for 2000Baht and half the day turned out to be waiting time and boring ATV ride - eventhough my feedback was appreciated i wasn't given a compensation worth a single Baht! The restaurant is quite pricey and there is no real chillout area inside with e.g. lean chairs

Liked: Everything. Worth going just for Nine. She is a legend! So helpful. Hostel is so clean and only a short distance from town. Clsoe to night markets. Just generally great. One of my favourite places ive stayed in 6 months of traveling
