Liked: Very clean and nice, staff wasn't overly friendly when they realized I wasn't going to book a trek or tour of any kind with them. Food was good, nice atmosphere. Bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on.

Liked: VERY friendly staff who were so helpful with everything - a very nice place to base yourself in Chang Mai - a 20 minute walk (or 20 Baht taxi ride) to the centre and just along from the Sunday night market which is excellent and alot cheaper than the nightly bazaar in the centre to save your shopping til then if you can

Liked: This place is so clean and modern its unbelievable that you only pay 2.74 pounds per night! The toilets/showers are always clean and the place serves food downstairs for a reasonable price. Free internet access too!

Liked: We found it hard to believe that all the well-rated comments were true but we were pleasantly surprised to find that they were! This place is the cleanest hostel i have stayed in (worldwide). The staff are friendly and helpful. You have free access to internet and the staff are very knowledgeable on local tourist attractions and transportation. The food is also really good. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for value for money!!!

Liked: A lovely hostel, with very friendly and helpful staff. i organised all my tours and trips thro them, which is so easy! i booked 2 nights but ended up staying 7! I recommend this place to everyone as i loved it. Its also easy to get a taxi or tuk tuk to the centre of town.

Liked: This place was fantastic. I read a few reviews on it, and they did not exaggerate. I generally think it's cheesy and cliché when I read how a hostel or guest house makes you "feel at home" and like "part of the family," but the Green Tulip and its proprietors Nine and Stella did just that. I would absolutely recommend the Green Tulip to anyone thinking about staying there. Good location, super clean, beautiful atmosphere, great people, great rate... It was/is awesome.

Liked: everything said about this place is true.The moment you arrive you are family, the place is spotless cleaned several times a day.Its within the walled old part of town so easy location and my yellow curry made for me as I arrived was to die for.I just cant believe that in such a busy place staff know you by name as soon as you arrive and the welcome is traditional thai warm and genuineI will be back as my stay was too short!!!!!!!!!!!

Liked: GT is super clean, with beautiful wood floors swept throughout the day, along with room cleaning everyday. Also, the staff is really good at arranging any type activity you might desire for only a small fee over what it would cost to do it yourself, and with a discount against what the travel agencies charge. The manager takes a little getting used to, but is awesome.

Liked: The staff at this hostel are exceptional! So much fun and can't do enough to help you! After 2 days I felt so at home I didn't want to leave! I visited Chaing Mai during the quite season but the green tulip was buzzing! The place is so so clean! Cleanest hostel I have ever been and likely to ever been in again. Definitely come here again!

Liked: Room was clean, location was a bit out of the way, meaning not in the regular backpacker area. However, I didn't book any excursions/treks/courses through them, and when I asked to extend my stay one extra night, they were mysteriously full. Not surprising though, since the guesthouses make a lot of extra money on commission for those things.
