Liked: These guys were great! The hostel is right near the start of the Sunday Market street which makes it easy for carrying everything home, the rooms are huge and the staff do a great job keeping the place tidy.When I left a pair of shoes behind they were so kind as to box them up and send them on to Bangkok for me. Thanks Nina and Stella and crew!

Liked: This place epitomizes Thailand's famous hospitality, and its amiable hosts made our entire trip to Chiang Mai. They booked us excursions at a sizable discount, told us where to find the best massage and the best food (besides their own cooking, which is scrumptious) and how much we should pay for Tuk Tuks. The rooms are clean and well-kept, and the location is a 10-minute walk to the center of town, which means it's a little far from the hustle of the rest of the city. Stay here!

Liked: its the best-spotlessly clean, nothing too much trouble for any of the staff.Everyone who works there seems to enjoy working there.One memory on day I left is on 30th nov christmas music and girls there laughing as christmas decorations put up.its a home far away from home-i just love it!!only drawback is you gotta like green

Liked: One of the most cleanest hostel I ever stayed! staff really friendly and helpful. They help you out choosing (and booking) all sorts of activities / day trips available in Chiang Mai (there are lots!!!!!)Great location - walking distance from Sunday market, temples and Night Bazar. Excellent food as well!! we had dinner twice in the hostel and they prepared very fresh / delicious thai dishes!!Really good value for money - I would certainly recommend to anyone!

Liked: Simply put, Green Tulip House made my stay in Chiang Mai. Fantastic value -- clean, cozy and comfortable rooms, free Internet for guests, delicious meals and coffee at great prices. But the real treasure is the hospitality: Nine and Stella, guesthouse operators, set us up with incredible adventure packages at incredible prices. They're warm, friendly and fun-loving, giving the Tulip an upbeat energy that is positively contagious. If you're traveling on a budget, this is your first stop.

Liked: I didn't like much! Pushy sales focused staff who wanted to sell trips spoiled this - they were rude when they realised I wasn't going to buy a trip, saying they had no rooms for the next night and then changing their mind and saying they did. I left as soon as I could and went to stay somewhere else.It's on a quiet road but it didn't feel safe walking home there at night.Don't go there.

Liked: This is the cleanest place I have ever stayed at!The staff are friendly (But Stella is a little bit crazy!)Booked a very good trekking from them to (The one whit the snakefarm..)..(3 days, and 1 night!)

Liked: Very clean and the place is really nicely set up. It has a nice rooftop terrace area aswell, and its in a central location. The only drawback is the pushy and overly assertive lady who runs the place, but if you have no problems saying 'NO!', then its great!

Liked: Ridiculously good value. Stella remains the most insane Thai person I have met to date (in a brilliant way), & Nine is a marvelous woman too. Place is very clean, nice open cafe style front, a little way away from the main stretch but walkable & was quite nice to be slightly quieter. Definitely recommended.

Liked: Loved this place and Miss Tulip the manager and Stella the Chef are hilarious. Give this place 10000%! If you are going to Chaing Mai stay here! Met great people, great rooms and bathroom and perfectly clean!!

Liked: The guesthouse was beautiful on approach and very welcoming, the staff were friendly and let us check in 5 hours early. they offered tours and were always at hand for local knowledge on prices, transport, tours etc. the rooms were very very clean and tidy and the shared bathrooms sparkling! the food and drink in the hostel was all great and it has free internet. I would definately recommend this hostel to everyone as the prices were so reasonable. Thank you to the green tulip

Liked: Stella is amazing, she makes a effort to know everyones names and their plans and help them sort out any activities they want. The place was spotless and the dorm rooms were quite spacious. Definitely be going back again.

Liked: It was alot different to the other hostels in the area, it stood out from the usual "crowd". From the outside it looks very welcoming and that does not change when you step inside. Overall the green tulip is a real gem, I'm sure our stay in chiang mai wouldn't have been half as good if it wasn't for the likes of Stella and nine looking after us and sorting out our trips. Cracking place stay everyone.
