The hostel seemed like a clean, up-scale fraternity house. Everyone was willing to say hello and it was great to either kick back and relax (with or without a cold beer) or start the night off right with games and social interaction. The rooms were always clean (though typically cluttered with backpacks) and the staff was always willing to help up!

This place is a home away from home. Literally. It has a great communal atmosphere, great organised activites and extremely helpful staff. Stay here - you won't regret it!

These guys are fantastic....can't wait to visit again, great atmosphere and they organise local trips which is loats of fun, can't recommend them highly enough!

Home Comforts were a big plus after travelling and staying in typical hostels for so long. Great place to chill..
The warmth of the staff and generally the overall character of the place was great! I loved it.

Staying at SpicyThai is like staying with a friend. It really feels like a family even if you only stay a little while. It easy to want to just hang out an even extend your stay...
The only down side is that they did not renovate th house and I think they should have given more consideration to the bathroom situation. There are simply not enough toilets, sinks and showers to accommodate the occupants when the house is full.

Everything!! I travelled there alone and have just arrived in SpicyLaos with 13 other people! Had the time of my life! The staff are the most amazing set of people- Noom, Pong, Saaw and Mary, you know it! And they arrange an amazing trek which is more expensive than other ones but only because they pay the villages a more fair price. Don't debate coming here- do it!!

Noom was awesome and really fun. The trek was excellent. Free brekkie was very handy and it was a really sociable place to be.

You move around the hostel just like your home even if you are alone. The owner and the staff are very friendly and most willing to assist in providing any questions asked.

I stayed here before a few years ago and it has just gotten better. The trips on offer, pick ups, drop offs and atompshere are even better. Good free breakfast, heaps of dvds and inspiration, once again I wish I had more time here. The staff will book things for you too and pick up tickets for trains/buses etc for you, will be back again!

Spicy Thai is the best hostel i have stayed in. Free internet, TV with a huge DVD collection to chose from, tours available and great people working there. The atmosphere is friendly and it is so easy to meet people and get along.
