Liked: It is very nice guesthouse at the Mekong with best view to the river and to Laos. There are wooden rooms and nice balconies to enjoy the life.

Liked: the place was amazing - such a beautiful setting on the river. the owners were so friendly and really helpful - we didn't know they were going to, but they were waiting at the bus stop when we arrived late at night to give us a ride back to the hostel! any place that has an honesty system for their drinks in this day and age is a really cool reflection on the nature of the people that run it. good food, good atmosphere - thanks so much for a great stay!

Liked: Staff friendly and helpful. Free collection at bus station (even though we missed it) and free morning ride to the ferry, which is 2 km away. Good food. The main building (where the restaurant is located) looked beautiful. Unfortunately, though, all of the rooms had already been booked. The owner moved us into another building close by which was very run down and dirty. I would reccomend this hostel because it is very cheap but only if the room is in the main building.

Liked: We stayed in the cheap room (next to the kitchen, under the dining room) and it was good value for money. The shared shower was warm, but the room for it wasn't so great (a few holes in the wall).Extremely friendly hosts who gave good, up-to-date advice on the border crossing.Highly recommended!

Liked: If you are planning on staying in Chiang Khong, Baanrimtaling is without a doubt the best place to stay. Nothing swish, very basic infact, but the setting, the river facing private balconies and the wonderful staff all make perfect! And the food is fantastic too. If we ever come back, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!

Liked: Lovely owner, nice food, fantastic views, really nice, clean bungalows at an excellent price. A bit out the way but you can use push bikes for free. Also have free interenet and a satalitte TV in the main room. Very very good!!!
