Liked: NapPark was the very first hostel I stayed in on my Asia/Australia travels. And to this day it's still the best hostel I have stayed in. I arrived on my own, and from the first night made friends I'm still with to this day. We stayed there a total of 3 different times in 2 months, and met incredible people because of the great atmosphere. The mats downstairs are PERFECT for an ice-breaker game of kings/ring of fire, trust me! Admittedly I got bed bug bites twice, but every single hostel I stayed in had this problem with so many people coming and going. The rooms get cleaned every single day, the whole place is crisp and fresh. Free wifi AND computers= amazing. Right next to Koh San= amazing! Staff= amazing. The bathrooms are a haven once you've seen the state of some hostels! This place is a total zen and haven for backpackers. It's so secure with electronic keycard access. And even though you're in 18 bed dorms, it's brilliantly designed so that in the evening, it feels like there are no more than 3 others in the room. It was my first port of call and it will be my last port of call when I eventually make my way back home to England. I don't know what it is about this hostel, but you seriously do make so many friends.

Disliked: I got bitten by bed bugs on two out of the three times I stayed there :( It's a very clean hostel though, so it would never deter me from recommending or going back myself.

Liked: Comfortable well-designed air conciditioned common area. Also some outside seating available. Reasonably priced good breakfast/food/beverages. Quiet neighbourhood, so no trouble sleeping, but still very close to the action. Well maintained internet terminals. Bathroom is in good shape, onlz the basin didnt look very clean. Beds are comparably spacious and with some curtains between the beds there is an enhanced feeling of privacy. there is a locker with light inside, and air condition at night.

Liked: Nice location just next to Khao San Road.

Disliked: Cleanliness is a major issue here I guess. They make you take off your shoes outside the hostel entrance, and then they dont clean the place because they presume it is clean with no shoes inside the property. Neither do they change the bed sheets, nor clean the floor. I was in the dorm on the first floor, and had my legs eaten of by bugs, it was so bad, I had to change my room after 2 nights. And I was shifted to the dorm on the ground floor. it was even worse here, I couldnt get any sleep. People just stay in the lobby next to the room the whole night till the morning, and the staff does not bother to make them realize that there are people trying to sleep. So prepare yourself for sleepless nights if you stay on the ground floor. Only the drinks will get you a sleep, not otherwise. So .. not a peaceful place at all. And yes the place is definitely haunted. I was woken up by this weird apparition twice and I could feel it on my bed, and no I was not drunk . So a good place for ghost hunters.

Liked: I stayed here for two nights and had a really great experience! This is the place to met fellow backpackers, and being on my own, it was great to make some friends - especially if Bangkok is your first stop. It has a great social area with fast internet, dvds, books and really nice food (I only had breakfast but heard meals were good!) I stayed in mixed dorm and felt very safe as a 22 year old lone woman traveller. Beds were comfy, sheets were clean and you have lots of AC - very much required in the heat of Bangkok. Staff are very helpful and will book for you any journey should you require it. (better to do so with them than those who scam you on the Koh San!) Overall, Nappark is excellent value for money and I will definately be returning!

Disliked: If anything was a problem, maybe having safer place to put bags on arrival if you have a late check in. Also there are no locks for the lockers, you will have to purchase then yourself. In terms of location you are excellent for Koh San and the temples, but far away from the new city ie. Siam and Sukhamvit

Liked: Very good place to stay, if you are into the backpacking atmosphere. Near Kao San road and main attractions.

Disliked: No easy way to the "new" city center. The bus from the airport does not exist anymore. So the best way to arrive is to take the train + taxi.

Liked: The location is good IF you want to be that close to Khao San. I assume most backpackers do, and it's in good proximity to lots of things.

Disliked: First, the hostel tells you 'how to get to their property via the airport express.' Well, we find the airport express bus counter, with a sign that it has been discontinued since mid 2011. Not NapPark's fault, but why tell visitors this? So just a bit annoyed over that. Also desk staff quite rude, and there were rats running around out the front. Inside was decently clean though, nice bathrooms and the napspace idea is cute, although TINY!
