FREE WIFI: Khaosan Road Rainbow Hostel and Guesthouse is well located only 20 meters from busy Khaosan Road. Rainbow has been in business since 2001 and over the past 9 years we have served thousands of travelers. Our Hostel features both air-con and Fan rooms, offers free Wi-Fi internet throughout, safety lockers, and hot showers. Our guests come from all over the world and enjoy the community we offer, only a 2 minute walk from the legendary Khaosan Road. On the first floor is an excellent Indian restaurant, with Indian chefs, serving a vegetarian Thali (set menu) for just 140THB. The restaurant also serves great tasting and budget priced fresh coffee/cappuccino for 40THB, Thai food, & 80THB American breakfasts as well. We have safety lockers for guests to use free of charge.

Accommodation Information

We group our room types into two categories. The first category is air-con rooms. We have air-con rooms with dorm, single, double, or twin beds. The second category is fan rooms that do not have air-con. We have single and double fan rooms. For all our private rooms, you just book the room. Normally only one person stays in a single room and either one or two people can stay in a double or twin room. If only one person stays in a double or twin room the price is the same as if two people stay.

Air-con Rooms:
Dorm Room Beds: All are COED with shared hot shower. Price is ok for one person.
Deluxe Private Single En-suite: This is private air-con room with private hot shower and one twin bed. Room suitable for one person only.
Deluxe Private Double En-suite: This is private air-con room with private hot shower and one double bed. Room suitable for 1-2 people who are comfortable to share a large bed.
Deluxe Private Twin En-suite: This is private air-con room with private hot shower and two twin beds. Room suitable for two people sleeping in two separate twin beds.

Fan Rooms:
Private Single En-suite: This is fan room, 1 twin bed, with private hot shower. Room suitable for one person only.
Private Double En-suite: This is fan room, 1 double bed, with private hot shower. Room suitable for 1-2 people who are comfortable to share a large bed.

To keep base prices down, we offer clean towels at extra 20THB per towel. We also collect a refundable 100THB towel deposit for each towel.

Location Information

We are located only a 2 minute walk from Khaosan Road. In fact you can see the main Khaosan Road police station from our door. We are also conveniently located across the street from the AE2 Airport Express bus stop. This is the last stop on the AE2 from the Airport. The cost of this bus is 150THB and can be picked up from the lower level of Suvarnabhumi Airport. Most other long distance VIP buses leaving Bangkok for other areas, such as Koh Pha Ngan, Koh Samui, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Laos, Cambodia, and Malaysia all leave from only 30 meters from our door. So if you are making a connection to another place, this is a convenient place to stay. While we do not sell travel tickets, there are many travel offices within 30 meters from our door. You can easily get to anywhere you want in Thailand cheaply from our doorstep.
