 The best thing about Soi 1 Guesthouse is probably price. Very good value for money. Also David (works nights) really knows whats good to do and was very helpful.

David is very knowledgeable about Bangkok and knows pretty much everywhere you want to go and how to get there. Good location! Great staff!

Duvets on the beds and air con in the dorm room made Soi 1 a very comfortable place to sleep. The bathrooms, although not very new, are kept clean and I didn't have to queue at any stage. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful.

i liked everything about this hostel ! it was the first hostel i have ever stayed in, and unfortunately for the rest, it will be the one that others have to compare to !
David, the owner, could not have been more friendly, chilled and informative. He runs a tight ship that everybody knows, but in a way that promotes civility. I would certainly reccomend this place to anyone !

Soi 1 Guest House is a great place to stay. It is conviently located close to the sky train station, bus stop and also to the boat station.While staying there I could explore Bangkok by train, bus and boat.
The owner and staff are very helpful to suggest places to visit and tell how to get there. It is kept clean,the linen is new and the people are good. I definitely recommend it as the place to stay.

Dave was very helpful, and advised as to how best to get around Bangkok and make the most from our time.
Sukhummvit is a bit out of the way, but the cost of tansport is so cheap that it makes a change to stay there as opposed to Khao San Road.
Maybe it would be better if theprivate rooms were just doubles as opposed to four beds, as this is better for people travelling asa couple.

Dave is very helpful, and after staying at variuos hostels run by Nazis who turf you out at 10am promptly and keep your passport his laid back approach was fantastic! It's also a great location for the water taxi, skytrain etc.

This place offers a really easy going atmosphere and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was second to none, with each guest given the utmost attention. Highly reccommended!
