 Good place to meet fun young people out to go out and have a good time

Pete was great, he was helpful and great to party with when he finished work. The place certainly would not have been the same without him and his terrible surfie shirts (a different one each day) Nin was a great help too, she certainly knew where to find some bargains and helped with taxi's etc. Anyone visiting should certainly check out cheap charlies for a few drinks, ooh and ask pete where to eat, he knows it all - and was usually right!! i would definately stay here again..

Great loation and Pete is the ultimate host for a hostel and adds neccessary charachter and friendliness to the place

The staff were incredibly welcoming and after the first few days i felt like a member of the family. Although the hostel is not situated in the most bustling area of Bangkok (i.e. Khosan Road) it is a good middle ground with everything a short tuk-tuk ride away and with great night life just a ten minute walk away and the Lumpini Kickboxing stadium is in walking distance. Also, there is 20 minutes free internet for all guests between 10:00pm and 6:00am which can be a lifesaver after a frantic day out in the manic heat and insanity of Bangkok city centre.

Management couldn't have been pleasanter - very welcoming, and continuingly friendly and helpful. Good coffee, good food, comfortable bed, good atmosphere.

it is a very friendly hostel. I met so many lovely people here including all the staff. It is very clean and the staff are very good at helping with you with where things are and where to go.

It is a great hostel but a little far out from the main tourist sights.Had a good night out some of the travellers and the staff are very freindly and will help you out where needed.24hr check in, was great and you will be welcomed with a smile.Check out Caggage and Condoms down the road, great night out.

Great beds and air-con. Really friendly staff and good information. A bit far out from the main sights even though the sky train is very close it doesnt go very far.

Friendly staff, good atmosphere. Ask Dave anything, he'll know the answer :) Food is delicious, but some good cheap places just round the corner. New guy Pete will do a great job taking care of things! He's awesome. Great fun, would go back if i ever go through bkk again :)

The staff were great. Very easy-going and accomodating and did a great job to promote a fun atmosphere. The location and cleanliness were nice, too.

Dave and the very friendly fellow travelers who stayed there. And the coffee down the street was splendid. Even though Bangkok was not the best of cities, Soi 1 was a good hostel to stay at.

The best thing about Soi 1 Guesthouse is probably price. Very good value for money. Also David (works nights) really knows whats good to do and was very helpful.
