Liked: been there many times only because i am used to it...that is my main and only reason

Disliked: Front desk staff were rude and crude. They have been working to long there and are probably suffering from tourist overload. I noticed they avoid eye contact as well. From their body language it seems that the guests were a bothering them all the time. The room was not cleaned during the 2 days i stayed there. There are many hotels in this price range so I think i will look for another hotel next time i go to Bangkok.

Liked: it was a good price, for what it offered, pool was nice, rooms were clean and of a good size, location was great, one street of koh san road, so not to noisy but a 3min safe walk to the main street

Disliked: staff were pretty useless, there was alot ants in the room, n smelt of smoke

Liked: The decoration of the room is nice, pool very nice, complementary water everyday. Location excellent, on a very charming street!!! very good location!

Disliked: Room smells mold, no internet at the hotel, no mini fridge, bathroom is average. hotel staff not very nice. I mean they can't smile at all.

Liked: We have been travelling for 7 weeks and always come back to rambuttri, we call it "home" its so safe and the facilities are spot on. We are actually just booking our last 4 nights there and will be very sad to leave!! very close to koh san road! and the local (just around the corner) is "never close" with great food and brilliant service!! the best hostel/hotel we have stayed in all the time we have been in Thailand!! plus it has 2 swimming pools on the roof which is a bonus!! great value for money! there is also a great english cafe just in the square if you want a break from noodles and rice!! it basically has everything on your door step!! would not have a bad word to say about this place at all!!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Good clean rooms, not bad location for nearby KhoSan Road.

Disliked: Staff were not exactly friendly or helpful on my return to Bangkok I stayed in a nearby hotel for much cheaper price!

Liked: Rooms clean and nice, shower good, and TV, DVD player and fridge nice touches. Swimming pool great. Location amazing - right in the centre of the action and with lots of facilities nearby e.g. restaurants, travel agents, laundry

Disliked: Quite a noisy place to stay but probably quite common in Bangkok. No breakfast which was a shame.

Liked: The facilities are good, especially when compared to many other hostels/hotels in the area. Spacious, well air-conditioned rooms and rooftop swimming pools are the highlight

Disliked: The staff are very rude, as well as being somewhat incompetent and inefficient, making any interactions with them, such as check-in, a much lengthier and more painful process than it should be. I also think the 1000B deposit, equal to approx 30USD is excessive

Liked: The rooms were nice and large. The location is nice as it is close to Khaosan Road but not on it so you can sleep.

Disliked: I wouldn't say this place was that secure. The doors were rickity, in that if I were to shoulder it, I could break in easily. Upon our arrival, the staff was rude and didn't believe we had a reservation since we didn't have a reservation number (we booked through Hostelbookers). So I had to waste 40 baht (not a lot, but still) to go and print our reservation number at a internet cafe. Suddenly when I had reservation number, our reservation appeared with our name right by it.

Liked: swimming pool

Disliked: unfriendlly staff. One of them even didn't talk anything when i checked out. Seriously, DID NOT TALK anything. And they never accepted my requests like changing a bulb. The reception desk was unorganized and slow. Room was clean but not worth the money.

Liked: convenient, liked the fish pond, rooms quite large.

Disliked: The reception staff on the front desk are the rudest that I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. In addition, the pillows supplied were so mouldy that the room stank before we put them out in the corridor.

Liked: This hotel is good value for money, nice room, comfortable beds, TV & aircon worked, and the rooftop pool is a good place to meet and chat with other guests. It is close to popular tourist attractions/nightlife and lots of street shopping.

Disliked: Hot water wasn't very hot. Its a big hotel, so the staff, while polite and helpful, remain detached. Laundry, restaurant, etc are separate businesses in an attached shopping arcade, and not provided by the hotel as the description might imply. The hotel is located very near to the tourist popular Khao San Road area, so there is plenty of night life (if that's what you want) ... but that also means being far from trains and airport links, which taxi and tuk-tuk take advantage of.

Liked: The location was wonderful, away from the noise of Koh San Road but still close to the action. I felt quite safe as the compound is back from the road. There were also some great restaurants in the hotel's courtyard.

Disliked: When i got there, i was told my room was on the 5th floor. No problem, so i went to the 5th floor only to find out my room was in a different wing. It would have been helpful if reception had told me this little detail in the beginning to save me from lugging my gear up and down 5 flights of stairs and then up a further 5. The pool was not open, it was under construction. As I mostly booked this place for the pool, I believe a discount should have been given for the inconvenience.
