Relaxed environment, warm, friendly greeting from John and the girls. Interesting conversation with helpful, genuinely accommodating service. I stayed longer and would recommend the place to anyone.

Security isn't the greatest at this hotel, but it is very close to the sky train, which provides access to most of the sites of Bangkok.

It was easy to catch a taxi here from teh airport and as we arrived on a late-ish flight we stayed here our first night in Bangkok. IT worked out really well.

not in the midst of khao san road, good communal area on the roof to chill and chat, but the cafe/restaurant/pie shop was a little over-rated. the owner was also not as friendly as his website would have you believe, his staff were much more friendly and helpful than he was!

It seems like a pretty safe place in an unsafe town. Its proximity to the train is great, as you can get anywhere quick by way of the skytrain. I would only stay for one full day in this city to see all that is needed.... that is if you are a seasoned traveler, and can cram in a million things in a day !

The dorm rooms are air-conditioned and the bathrooms all have hot showers for the price of a regular guesthouse-type room. The hostel is also walking distance to the Thong Lor Sky Train Station.

When I stayed there they were undergoing remodelation after changing the address, so the conditions were less than ideal.
The room, however, was nice, with aircon and comfortable bunks.

the people ive met were the best, i talked to some people at coffee, next we were traveling togather for three days, across thailand, they also have great pizza there, big john was especially helpful w/ any problem that would arise

was a great hostel to stay in, friendly staff who were more then keen to tell you the best places to go and how not to riped off but the thai people. ive staying in many hostels though out euorpe and big johns was one of the better hostels ive stayed.. Remember your in thailand not in some modern country so dont expect some 5 star hotel.
