Liked: very clean and light and airy, quite a modern feel. free wifi, tv area and roof top garden are good

Disliked: absolutly no atmosphere at all! I arrived at the weekend, and was quite disapointed, no general 'bar' area or hang out space to meet other travellers. Do not recommend for solo travellers, but prob ok if your travelling with others and not bothered about meeing new people

Liked: The Udee Bangkok was always very clean as there was always a staff member on hand to clean up any mess, not that there was much. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, and always ready to offer assistance and answer questions about where to go and how to get there.

Liked: Great location near the massive weekend market and some fantastic cheap food stalls nearby. Public Transport in Bangkok really easy and cheap to navigate, so definetely worth avoiding the horror that is Khao San road and stay here. Hostel is clean, friendly with three different chill out areas to meet other people. Laundry is cheap and its a great stop over spot. Can't fault this place at all!

Liked: It was incredibly clean and quiet. There were lots of great eating options very close to the hostel and the BTS was very close. The people working at the hostel were super nice and helpful. We're definitely staying here the next time we're in Bangkok.

Disliked: I didn't dislike a single thing.

Liked: I moved here because my last hostel had a bit of a cockroach problem, and this one promised to be clean. It's not only clean, but beautiful! The rooms are big enough for 8 people + 8 people's stuff, the bathrooms are clean and new, the front courtyard is lovely and full of tables to work on, the rooftop garden is really peaceful and the staff is very helpful. Plus, they have DIY laundry, free wifi and free breakfast. I want to live here.

Disliked: It's a little difficult to find for a taxi to find, but once you've been here it's easy enough to find on foot.

Disliked: Location was horrible. Value for money very poor. Size of room unacceptable. Breakfast was the most ridiculous Ive ever seen.

Liked: Udee Bangkok was excellent! Good security, clean and hot showers, free breakfast, and a pleasant foyer to sit in. I liked it so much that I came back to stay again!

Liked: I had planned on staying at Udee for four nights and ended up extending my stay as well as returning later when I came back to Bangkok! Although the location is a considerable distance from Khao San Rd and the various tourist destinations it is incredibly close to Saphan Kwai Skytain station and to get to the aforementioned attractions you can take a bus from right outside soi 19. The staff are incredibly helpful-- in the lobby you will find a noticeboard full of information and tips, slips for you to hand to taxis to ensure you get to the right destination and more. They are willing to book tours and taxis but the price is a little steep. The property itself is the cleanest I've stayed in during my travels and it seems that there is always someone sweeping or mopping or dusting. The shared bathroom has four toilets and four showers and you're never left waiting for someone else to vacate. Beds are made daily (even though with my mess I made it quite difficult) and clean towels are available upon request. Upstairs on the roof there is a washing machine (30B for up to seven kilograms) and you can hang your clothes up to dry or use the dryer (another 30B). Even when it rained the staff were kind enough to move my washing undercover! Also on offer and plenty of free lockers, free breakfast (sandwiches, toast with butter, marmalade, jam, and plenty of bananas). Udee is a fantastic hostel that I will recommend to anyone visiting Bangkok and I fully intend to return again!

Disliked: There is very little to dislike about Udee! Vegetarians might find it difficult to find food around this area but it's very easy to find a restaurant/stall near the skytrain line.

Liked: The staff truly make Udee special-- this was my second stay and it was like coming home! The hostel is tastefully decorated and feels like a little oasis in the middle of busy Bangkok.

Disliked: There are few things to dislike about Udee! If forced to say something, I would say the only fault I could find was their liquid hand soap is o far diluted it feels like dishwashing detergent.

Liked: Very friendly staff, they help you and they think about every little detail that could make your trip easier. Self service breakfast so you can eat as much as you want. Good comfortable beds and the hostel is nicely decorated. I would recommend this adress to everyone!

Liked: The staff were nice and it was amazingly clean too! Breakfast was decent, wifi worked well, laundry was cheap with drying racks provided and beds were clean and comfortable!

Disliked: The location of the hostel wasn't great -- about 45 min/130B to cab into the city in traffic! Also (through no fault of the hostel) the people in our dorm were really obnoxious and loud when we had to wake up early for a morning flight...

Liked: the staff is super friendly. they helped me alot of where to go and the taxis etc...and the hostel itself is really good. the location is good if you want to get away from crazy bangkok hecticness. But if you to stay away in a nice quiet place than this is it!!!!! i would recomend it.

Disliked: the location. but thats just because i needed to get from one place to another. but thats the only downside of this hostel!

Disliked: Location is not the best, but the rest of the atributes of the hostel makes it worth it.

Liked: A lovely hostel in a quiet Thai neighbourhood of the city, away from all the hustle bustle and faux-Bangkok of Khao San Rd. The perfect place for a bit of peace and quiet and to see the real Bangkok. Admittedly there isn't an awful lot in the immediate area but the weekend market is a 20 min walk away and the main street outside is lined with street food stalls every evening. Skytrain station is 15 mins walk away. The hostel is spotlessly clean throughout with quiet and comfortable dorm beds. Breakfast provided (tea coffee, toast, cereal, fruit, sandwiches). Washing machines and dryer available on the rooftop area. Staff are lovely and incredibly helpful.

Disliked: As mentioned, neighbourhood is quiet but Skytrain is only 15 mins walk away.
