Liked: Lovely old house in a quiet back street (soi), surrounded by laneways full of character and a few places to eat. The hostel is very clean. Very convenient location if you are arriving or leaving by rail from Hualamphong station (where there is also a metro connection). Close to Chinatown and quite close to the river. Far enough away from the various horrors of Khao San and Patpong roads!

Disliked: Wifi access in the rooms (rather than just downstairs in the common area) would be a small plus, but otherwise everything is great.

Liked: Clean and comfortably private fan rooms. Free tea/coffee/water downstairs and easy to find by foot from the train station as they have decent signage up on the main roads (its hidden in a local neighborhood) BUT it might be hard to get to by tuk tuk / taxi if the driver comes from certain directions. Just walk.

Disliked: The last time I stayed here was during the floods on the 3rd floor and it was MUCH QUIETER. This time, they gave me a room on the 2nd floor with a window facing the courtyard but there was no glass or window in it plus the walls are all thin - so it was bit noisy (they provide ear plugs). Surprising number of mosquitos in the lobby in the early evening as well BUT that is Thailand for you... Food is more limited in this area but there is a small but decent supermarket (MaxValue - try google maps to find it) hidden in the basement of a building across from the train station and sort of across from the canal towards Chinatown...

Disliked: The male & female toilet All-on-one seems a little bit strange.

Liked: The staff is very helpful and nice. The rooms are really clean and good size. Also showers and bathrooms are very clean.

Disliked: The place is quite hard to find. Printing the map is advisable! There really isn't anything to see around but the Hua Lamphong station is really near.

Liked: free water and tea, very clean

Disliked: Our first night here we stayed in a dorm and there was no airconditioning...I have never slept so bad in my life! I broke out in heat rash on my chest because the fans they had in the room rotated around so you only got hit with the fan every once in a while. Once we switched to a private AC room though it was muchhhh better (if you stay here, definitely get air conditioning) . The hostel was kind of far from everything, there are no convenience stores or restaurants close by, so if you want something to eat you need to be prepared to walk or cab.

Liked: very nicely decorated, in a small authentic Thai residential alley but close to the train station, feels very safe, cheap, we went back here a second time and preferred it over the more commercial big hostels

Disliked: it got very hot in the dorms, but i prefer that to freezing cold airconditioned rooms to be honest. there also wasn't much of a communial area to chill out in, or kitchen facilities.

Liked: Everything! Quiet, comfy, clean dorms with nice and ample showers/bathrooms. Great atmosphere. Free kitchen access, coffee and tea. Genuinely kind, helpful staff. Unlike what others said, it wasn't difficult to find if you follow the directions on the website. Quick walk from Hua Lamphong. Highly recommended,

Disliked: No A/C in the dorm (but plenty of fans)
