Liked: great atmosphere, very tasteful and charismatic interior and decoration.location near to hua lampong station but directed in a quiet little street behind the main road.very friendly and helpful staff explaining to you every destination you want to go by showing you on google street view (very very helpful to see the streets and places before you actually go there when it comes to more expensive or cheaper boat piers). also giving you the names of the bus stations in thai, too (just show the paper to the cashier in the bus).kitchen and fridge for everyone to use. they provide free drinking water.

Liked: Everything! Beautiful place to stay, the owners have paid attention to all the small details that make your stay as comfortable as possible, e.g free drinking water, tea and coffee, REALLY comfy beds, shower gel and shampoo provided in the showers etc.. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is great, the whole place is immaculately clean and homely. Once you get to grips with the location its ideal; its on a small back street in a residential area so its really peaceful and feels very safe, its also however perfect for transport links to anywhere in the city and is only a short walk from all the China Town markets. I will definitely stay here if I'm in Bangkok again.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Lovely old house in a quiet back street (soi), surrounded by laneways full of character and a few places to eat. The hostel is very clean. Very convenient location if you are arriving or leaving by rail from Hualamphong station (where there is also a metro connection). Close to Chinatown and quite close to the river. Far enough away from the various horrors of Khao San and Patpong roads!

Disliked: Wifi access in the rooms (rather than just downstairs in the common area) would be a small plus, but otherwise everything is great.

Liked: Clean and comfortably private fan rooms. Free tea/coffee/water downstairs and easy to find by foot from the train station as they have decent signage up on the main roads (its hidden in a local neighborhood) BUT it might be hard to get to by tuk tuk / taxi if the driver comes from certain directions. Just walk.

Disliked: The last time I stayed here was during the floods on the 3rd floor and it was MUCH QUIETER. This time, they gave me a room on the 2nd floor with a window facing the courtyard but there was no glass or window in it plus the walls are all thin - so it was bit noisy (they provide ear plugs). Surprising number of mosquitos in the lobby in the early evening as well BUT that is Thailand for you... Food is more limited in this area but there is a small but decent supermarket (MaxValue - try google maps to find it) hidden in the basement of a building across from the train station and sort of across from the canal towards Chinatown...

Liked: The staff is very helpful and nice. The rooms are really clean and good size. Also showers and bathrooms are very clean.

Disliked: The place is quite hard to find. Printing the map is advisable! There really isn't anything to see around but the Hua Lamphong station is really near.
