Liked: The nice building and the restaurant in the river.

Disliked: It was very noisy at night. The staff doesn't speak english and wasn't helpful. The bikes that they rent are very old and dirty.

Liked: Beautiful building and nice view onto the river, comfortable rooms, location not bad.

Disliked: Disinterested staff, most of whom spoke no English. When I arrived the hostel was supposed to be open, but everyone was still asleep although I had noted that I would arrive early on my booking form. No wifi, only internet on a computer in the lobby which was always being used by staff or their family members. I also booked a dorm (hoping to meet people as a solo traveller) but was put alone in a double room with no explanation. Not really bad, as there weren't any other backpackers there anyway, but a little weird.

Liked: The manager (or owner) was super friendly and helpful. The place is a gorgeous teak house right on the river with great views of boats going by. Nice upstairs porch to watch the river, very peaceful. The restaurant has great food and amazing atmosphere. The free wifi was strong, even in the rooms.

Disliked: My dorm room was US$10, which seemed a bit expensive for a dorm bed, but maybe that's the going rate for Ayuthaya? Luckily, no one else joined me in my dorm, so US$10 turned out to be a great price for a private room at this amazing house!

Liked: The bed sheets were cleaned. Although, pretty sweaty after 3 days and them not being changed. Balcony door did not shut properly. There was only a bolt across the door for security (bolt maybe a bit of a strong word for the door security). Our room was behind a room that faced the road, but was still exceptionally noisy. There was a curfew on the guesthouse, you had to be back by 10.30pm (11pm Latest). There was a massive can of bug spray next to our door, there was also a cockroach in our room and the place was covered with ants, although not any in our room. The bathroom what quite dirty and no hot water. Was quite expensive for the price. On the water so mosquito repellent a must! Would go to Tony's place next time.

Liked: the old school style of the place , a real taste of thailand , old teak decor , nice clean bed , value for money , a little noisy at times but hey , you get what you pay for . nice restuarant too.

Liked: The hotel is very clen and tidy, with beautiful views of the river and a very oriental feel about it.. however.. the staff were not very curtious/polite, and spoke basically no english (which ofcourse would be acceptable, as it is not and english speaking country, but if I could of atleast of got a smile i would be happy? Staff not as nice as previous thais iv met so far. Right next to road and very noisey, and woke up early (6.30am) by staff making noise. Unfortuntly would have to say that i wouldnt stay again.

Liked: The hostel itself is beautifull, great location on the back. Next to the river. The bad thing was, it was way to noisy. Like you where sleeping on the road.
