Liked: We had a great stay at Imani beach villa. Simon and Tito were very hospitable and helpful. They organised our tours with a great tour guide and driver. The villa had a great relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful big room. The treehouse was great for dinner and drinks and to watch the sunset, and the barman Hajdi was lovely. The food was delicious, great breakfast every morning and fantastic dinner. It was great being close to stone town but also being on the beach, especially at sunset when the locals were also enjoying the beach, it didn't feel that touristy. Would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Zanzibar !

Liked: Imani is GREAT! The room that we had (double) felt very luxurious, very spacious, has AC (which felt rare on our trip), and they know how to spoil us. I love the fact that I was greeted with a beverage and then upon seeing our rooms…flowers decoratively placed on the bed, it was a nice welcome to paradise! The restaurant has really great food that we felt no need to really eat in Stone Town, reasonably priced and if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind—this is IT! They also will handle everything for you...tours, taxi to and from the airport, etc.

Liked: We had the most amazing week in Imani. The staff, location, activities offered, food, tree house were all fantastic. We will definately be returning to Imani.

Liked: great staff. pretty good location. nice hotel. good food.

Disliked: our bed was so high i had to help my wife get into bed and we are in our 20's. also the bed felt as though it would break and ruined the romance. the shower was not good. i really did not like the shower. i think the price is high for what it is.

Liked: The staff and facilities were excellent, we felt welcomed and like it was a home from home. Food was amazing and reasonably priced

Disliked: The sea directly out the front of Imani was to stoney and reef to go straight out to swim, you had to walk down the beach and around the reef. This was fine for a short time, but won't be a problem when they build the jetty

Liked: Imani beach is perfect, as soon as you walk into the grounds ur in a dream world. I dont think I have everr felt so relaxed and contect and its thanx to the fab atmosphere created by the staff and setting. Nothing is a problem and you make your own routine, like a home from home which is very luxurious and everything is taken care of, down to the smallest details of fresh flowers in your room and a glass of cold fruit juice waiting for you on arrival.

Disliked: Outside of the Imani beach grounds seemed a little rough, but once in the grounds its completly un noticable, and nevery did I feel unsafe at Imani beach.

Liked: A great place to stay, about 10 minutes out of Stone Town. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. The tree house provides great views over the beach and the restaurant does a good selection of tasty food.The staff are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make your stay fun - and it certainly was! Would recommend taking the excellent Spice Tour with Baloo!

Liked: The property is beautiful and quiet, and well laid out. The outdoor dining room is exquisite, as is the second floor lounge area. I liked the close proximity to Stonetown, but in a quiet beachy area. The swimming was great and I enjoyed watching the fishermen. Simon has done a superb job of hospitality, and his staff is excellent. The food was wonderful, and Simon did a great job of making arrangements for us for the activities we wanted. I would recommend this place highly.

Liked: The proprietors were extremely approachable and helpful in the difficult time they were facing without power and did all they could to make our stay comfortable. We were easily able to organise tours from the hotel which we found very convenient.

Liked: very helpful and friendly people, about 10 km out of town, so there is not much you can do in the area (except beaching and relaxing)

Liked: Imani Beach resort is run by an enthusiastic and extremely helpful English couple who go out of their way to ensure you have all you need. They have good local knowledge and are happy to help you with planning your travel arrangements when moving on to other parts of Zanzibar or with travel back to the mainland. The location ensures you have a sense of life in a local village and as you lounge on the resort's beach, you can watch the local fisherman go about their daily routines. The local bus puts you in easy reach of Stonetown and is a cheap method of travel. Having travelled to Stonetown by ferry, the short taxi drive to this accommodation 10 minutes from the town, was an ideal way to unwind and recoup. Highly recommended.

Liked: Imani Beach Villa is the most friendliest and most welcoming guesthouse you will ever stay at. You get to know the owners as well as all the members of staff while you are there as there is such an informal & personal atmosphere. The fact that you can eat breakfast anytime shows just this!It has a lovely restaurant where you sit down on cushions on the floor in such a relaxing way - it's fab! There is also a scrumptious BBQ & a must-see show performed by the locals on Thursdays.The view is stunning with the beach right there on your doorstep.The service is just excellent - it seems that whatever you want, you can get!All in all - a briliiant place to stay in Zanzibar particularly if you want to party the night away!

Liked: I would definately stay at this hostel if you are coming to Zanzibar. We used it as our base leaving to see other parts of the island and coming back again. Simon, Kristen and the staff could not be more helpful. The rooms are lovely and clean, have hot water and real towels- always exciting of you are on a long trip. The food is lovely too. Simon and the staff will do whatever they can to help your stay from organising trips to booking taxis. The spice tour is well worth doing or you can just lazing on the beach outside. Highly recommend it.
