Very little...the only positive thing was the beer priced at around £1 a bottle...you had to drink plenty of it to make it through a night at this hotel...

Uplands Centre Hostel is located at Changanyikeni area on Observation Hill, near to the University of Dar es Salaam (The Hill), opposite to the Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (Takwimu).
The high altitude compared to its surroundings enables it to enjoy the cool breezes of the Indian Ocean from the east.
It has twenty-eight self-contained rooms with two beds each. We provide meals per order in our restaurant and, for your safety, have security arrangements with a professional security firm.
