Liked: Nice staff, good location. Pretty clean.

Liked: The hostel is located close to an MRT station on the blue line as well as being a stone's throw from the airport bus. Diane the manager is very friendly and easygoing. The place is relaxed. Free internet service. Nice little kitchen. Free soap for the laundry. No curfew.

Liked: Friendly, Helpful staff. Clean. Beside main street. Close to good shopping areas, banks, et.c . Close to good buses. Near MRT Metro. Close to restaurants, coffee shops, Vegetarian restaurant.

Liked: Lots of facilities...full kitchen, self-laundry...room was the size of the bed without any other space to move, bathrooms were filthy...they have a strange system where guests are expected to keep shared bathrooms clean themselves...seems like if they don't (which of course they won't), no one else will...

Liked: Overall a good place. Small but cozy with a definite community vibe. People are nice. Facilities are a little worn but not overly so. Linens could use an upgrade but nothing like I've seen at other places. Overall worth the $.

Liked: Good place to meet people - nice lounge area. This is the 3rd hostel I've stayed in in Taipei, and my favourite. The little things are important - there's always free drinking water and toilet paper!! (unlike other places I could mention). Also internet is free - no pumping $10 coins into a box... Banks, cheap places to eat, computer market and Taiwan Beer beer hall all in neighbourhood!

Liked: Great price, great location, and a great atmosphere. Staying at the World Scholar House and hanging out with the supervisors and other roomies was an extremely fun and enjoyable experience! If you're interested in saving a buck and just having a good time, I definitely recommend this hostel. I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness and order of the main living areas and bathrooms, but the rooms weren't anything to complain about. The A/C and internet also worked well in my room. Basically, if you're a picky person, you really shouldn't be staying at hostels anyway haha. I'll be going back for sure! :)

Liked: Walking distance to MRT. Walking distance to Taiwan Beer Bar. Friendly English speaking staff. Internet Access. Safe and clean. Comfortable beds. Hot showers with good water pressure. Sharing environment. Note: AC costs extra and toilet has min flush capabilities.

Liked: It was a great place to meet some interesting and fun folks. It was really welcoming. It had a warm atmosphere that I really liked. The staff was very helpful and kind. I thought it was in a good location.
