Liked: Excellent location but seem lack of suitable facilities and help. Staff doesn't reply inquiry email which result in some trouble arrangement.

Disliked: Seem unsafe door lock and old facilities. Unclean feeling about the room.

Liked: The location was good, very close to the train station. The owner was very kind and helpful.

Disliked: In the bedroom we stayed in, there was mould all over the walls - a bit too grimy for my likings. There is definitely more value for your $ in this area.

Liked: It is great places to spot the interesting hub of downtown half mile away off the Taipei main train station even just along with Red 1 zone with map of instruction when stepping off Mass Raid Transit(MRT) or hanging around it where you may be convenient to head for other counties.i will not get any chance of lost where i am.Clean to all where i see and hospitable to who i am from native is worth staying over night for budget or short term of hanging for other destinations in preparation.

Disliked: if there will be equipped with the dehumifying dryer during cold front severely hit from north-east side of drifting air,that will be better for such relieved struggle of slight aware-cough wandering travellers.if a well-trained dog can sniff where the bed bug are hidden with comforters according to the hygiene of related studies,uh-huh it is true enough but not efficient to handle so tiny insects.You've better watch out what kind of feeling when being bitten by them and slept over turn on the bed ending with the pale of waking up.

Liked: Great location, very friendly and helpful owner. It's not sparkling new but there is everything you need and it's clean. Best deal in Taipei for a solo traveler if you want a single room!

Disliked: Had to pay extra for aircon, although it couldn't be used properly during the night (aircon installed in the window behind curtains, so the choice was darkness or a cool room). Wi-fi access not very good on most floors, but they are working on it.

Liked: Good choice for a basic, no frills hostel in the centre of town. Free internet and laundry.

Liked: It was close to main station.

Disliked: The room, walking up lots of stairs with heavy luggage, toilet paper outside the toilet, showering made the whole bathroom floor wet, no cold drinking water on my floor.

Liked: Location was great!!! There were only 3 rooms for shower and bathroom. Hospitable!!! Lots of hot water.

Liked: Unbeatable location, central and literally across the street from the main train station.

Disliked: I booked a private single but it was tiny, about 60 square feet. It was infested with ants and mosquitoes, the ants constantly ate my food and the mosquitoes ate me. In addition to not being very thick and comfortable the 'mattress' and blanket were quite dirty.

Liked: Very near to MRT station/ Bus station. Free Internet Access (with only ONE PC provided on the living room).

Disliked: Private room rate had been paid but didn't really has private bathroom attached on the room (only shared bathroom). The hostel does not put the name "Happy Family" clearly outside the building, so a bit difficult to know where is the hostel (maybe already pass by the hostel but didn't notice)

Liked: Only 3 minutes walk from Taipei Station, the best location ever.Owner and manager are ready to help and I liked that kitchen and bathroom were always kept clean. Refrigerator and microwave are free to use among other good things.This time my stay in Taipei was short but when I come back for a longer stay in future I want to stay this place again.

Disliked: Nothing comes across my mind.

Liked: It gave me a good sense of Taipei city before I even traveled around Taipei. The location is so Taipei. Bridges, scooters everywhere and taxi's. Super cool place for free, chilled and relaxed travelers.

Disliked: There is is only one computer for internet use, so sometimes you have to wait 10-15min to use it. That can be a problem when you are in a rush to do some site seeing. If I knew this I would brought my laptop

Liked: great location, very near taipei main station. staff was very friendly and accommodating.clean enough and there's a computer in the common area you can use at no extra charge.. which is great cause i hate lugging a laptop around with me while i travel. :)

Liked: best location possible. via MRT, use the M7 exit to get out and walk forward (you will leave a 7eleven on your left side) till the cross. Then left and cross straight for 2 minutes. Right after you pass under the elevated road you will find the hostel on the left side (you can ask the Family Mart in the corner if you dont see it)

Liked: The only thing I like is that the location of the hostel is good. Other than that, the place is very old and definitely needs some renovation or upgrading.
