Disliked: the owner, the Mexican guy, tried to pull a quick one by asking us for an extra 200 each (local currency) but we realised. No problem as it was little money, but it's more about the fact !!

Liked: Although the room was small it was adequate for sleeping purposes and the shower facility was decent although it was shared.

Liked: Great location, nice and helpful owner, his wife and staff, very cozy and mostly clean place.I stayed 2 nights in single room (2 beds = twin room for single use). I think the best value for money in Taipei.I could relaxed in the living room and roof terrace = common space.I wish to stay there when I go Taipei next time.Free washing machine is good and useful especially in sweaty season. No dryer but enough space to air the items.Shower BOXs on the roof terrace are 24hourrs can be use with hot water. They may be bit ashamed for girls and ladies.The office and the rooms of the hostel are different places but close.The rooms are 9th floor of the building. You can up to 8th floor by lift and up the steps to 9th floor.The rooms are located only 5 min walk from the main train station and bus station. They are connected by not only surface road but also underground shopping mall (you do not need umbrella even in squall). The office and the rooms are also close to MRT Zhongshan station.There are many reasonable local restaurants, food stands and convenience stores (Seven Eleven, Familymart and etc.) around the rooms.

Liked: great location -very close to MRT Zhongshan, paid for a shared room but was alone for 2 nights, room would have been too small for 2 people anyways; not very clean (hair all over, bathroom stank) but I think average for Taipei; staff very nice -offered help with finding adresses.

Liked: Staff were very helpful, excellent location, and lots of handy facilities - washing machine, free internet etc. Overall, excellent little hostel. Little being the only thing, small room and bed, although this was communicated in advance so all cool.

Liked: I stayed with my brother in a room with double-decker bed. Be prepared that the room is pretty small and passage way is rather narrow. The owner of this place is a Japanese guy who can speak like 5 languages such as English, Mandarian, Japanese and 2 other of which i forgot. You can exit from Zhongshan Metro Station R6 exit, turn left and you should find the hostel near a playground. Overall it's a good place to stay. =)
