Customer reviewVery clean, good and safe location, friendly staffs. Also I like free internet & washing machine. One bad thing - door buzz is out of order, so you need to call staffs from public phone when you enter this hostel first time. Even though, I strongly recommend this hostel and would stay there when I come back to Taipei. |

Customer reviewAfter arriving in Taipei on a late flight, bringing me to Camel Oasis at approx. 1AM, I was told, the facility was over-booked. But, the hostel owner, Shawn quickly told me he'd take me to his other "newer" hostel, "Camel Island" that was about a 5min drive. Nice, clean, and friendly for sure. Shawn offered to drive me to the closest metro station the following morning for my departure. Soooooo... despite the hiccup of being overbooked, Shawn and his "other" hostel redeemed itself. I still recommend either Oasis or Island lodging! |

Vincentius ReinaldoIt is whatever a traveler can ask for! It is clean, has a good location (near MRT station and there's a convenience store nearby), and the price is fair. |

Shijing TanIt's a great, clean, friendly hostel, and one of my favourite hostels! The location of this hostel is perfect! only 2 min to the metro station and near to 24hour supermarket(on the opposite side of the street). Within 3-5min u can get nice milk tea and famous tranditional food. Within 2-3 stops by metro u can find one of the best night markets, and lots of special and great bars! And u can always find friendly friends in the hostel everyday XD Thanks to Shawn, u r so helpful and gave me good suggestions. The problem is there is only one restroom...so some times u may have to wait. Anyway, I recommend this hostel to all travellers, I enjoyed my time there. |

Lauren Amirathis place was not for me but i could see it working for others. the only room with a bathroom ensuite is the 8 bed dorm. otherwise it's a shared bathroom, which i don't prefer. the proprieter forgot to give us towels when we checked in and couldn't be found to get towels when we wanted to shower in the early evening. he completely left the property, there was no one there, and he didn't return until mid next morning. the common room is like someone's living room, which is nice because you have free access to the tv, dvds, and computer. however, it is not air conditioned and is sweltering hot, so not the most pleasant place to hang out. also, it is above a bakery and across the street from a bubble tea, and a block away from the MRT- so location was pretty good. |
