Liked: great location in ximen right near a lot of good places. staff is really knowledgable and helpful

Liked: Great location, easy to find and a friendly environment.

Disliked: The walls are paper thin so noise was a problem. But the staffhave a 12pm-9am quiet policy to help others sleep which was really good.

Liked: Really nice, helpful staff. Very Clean, staff can be seen mopping and emptying trash every day which is a rare sight at many hostels. Good location right in Ximending near lots of cafes, shops, and MRT stop. Has good large kitchen with good facilities to cook and store your own food. Two computers with free internet, always working, plus free wifi.

Disliked: Smoking was banned throughout the hostel (which is good) but was allowed in the Kitchen, which was very strange and rather unpleasant. One of the showers was a bit rundown, needed fixing.

Liked: It is in Ximenting. A very good location for backpacker hostel.

Disliked: Could hear laughters and conversations because of thin walls. Does not matter much if you can fall asleep quickly.

Liked: Great location in Ximending, close to MRT and easy to find. Washing machine on site, and coin laundry close by. Quite friendly and helpful staff who explained in detail how to get to the airport. Shared bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Good atmosphere with comfy bean bags and big screen TV in the lobby and a large kitchen in the back. We only stayed one night, but it's probably a very good place to meet people.

Disliked: Twin room was really really small (basically just a double-decker bed plus a table), which is not a big problem per se, but 1,000 TWD appears a bit steep for what you get. Then again, accommodation in Taiwan in general and in Taipei in particular is expensive...

Liked: I liked that it was right in the city of Taipei and close to their railway system. Facilities were good and well furnished, clean and tidy. The arrangement of rooms is not crowded at all as there are several corridors and walkways. Also there's a whole shelf of toiletries from toothpaste to shampoo so there was no need for me to use my own. The price is also very good.

Liked: There are a lot of Singaporeans like me staying there.

Disliked: The staff there are not as friendly as I thought they will be.

Liked: Close to the lively Ximen area and metro station, lots of restaurants, room is secure, free wireless internet, staff were very helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Because the private ensuites were down the road in a separate building, it was a little difficult to meet other people (if this is what you look for when you go to a hostel). It made no difference to me.
