Liked: We stayed here last year and were happy to stay here again because of the excellent location - across the road from the central train and bus stations, lots of street food and other restaurants nearby. The kitchen area has been improved since our last visit (better organised with more seating) and we had a different double room this time, also nicer (bigger and lighter). Staff are always on hand to help and are very friendly.

Disliked: Breakfast is simple - just toast - but there's several choices of what to spread on it and with all the yummy street food just outside, it isn't really a big deal if you skip the hostel breakfast altogether.

Liked: There is a lot of shopping and metro and train and bus stations. The hostel is like a family hostel, you can watch tv with others.

Disliked: The temperature of the room was very high, there was no sun stores, and the air conditioning could not be switched on by yourself, we needed to ask permission of staff. This is because we booked the cheap room, but we changed to a better one and it was practical. The breakfast was very basic.

Liked: Definitely the location. The bus from the airport stops just right opposite the building of the hostel. So easy to find! The breakfast was kind of nice. Don't expect continental breakfast. There are tea, hot chocolate, coffee, some biscuits and some fresh fruit.

Disliked: We stayed in a private room for 4 nights. The staff emptied the rubbish bin every day, but the floor was never cleaned once. The air conditioner didn't work properly. We was in Taipei in summer so it was quite hot inside the room, even at night.

Liked: location was superb, value for price, the owner was nice and helpful for borrowing the adapter free of charge. when i check out in the early morning of 6am, i just realized i left my camera cable in my previously stayed room, then he patiently wait for the roommate to (fortunately wake up) and told them about this, i can get my stuff back. he is such an efficient yet polite guy

Liked: The dorms were pretty spacious, location was great too!

Disliked: It would be better if the toilet in the dorms had shower curtains so that the floor would not be all wet once we showered. Also, perhaps the carpeted area in the room could be changed as well, as there are unsightly stains on them.

Liked: Great location. The MRT station is right in front of the mall. Friendly & helpful staff. Overall the rooms are OK, but there is 1 room has no wall & it covered only by glass & pieces of curtain. If you don't mind this, this is definitely a very great place to stay.

Liked: I liked the location as the building is right beside the Taipei Main Train Station. The staff was great and the owner is very friendly. It's certainly not what I'm used to because it's more of a self-service place. The rooms were small but then I'm not there to stay in the room - just a place to sleep. The only thing I can complain about the hotel is that there is no towel for bathing. The towel they provide is very small and an extra one would cost NT$25. It was just a face towel. If you stay here, bring your own towel. Other than that, the place is good enough to rest in after a day of touring Taipei. :)
