Al-Gawaher Hotel ('the precious stones') is located central Aleppo, less than a minute away from the clock tower in Bab Al-Faraj, behind the National Library Building, allowing you to wander into the old city and the world famous covered markets of Aleppo within minutes of leaving the hotel.
All of our rooms are private, each containing beds with clean sheets and blankets, bed side cabinet, table and a TV in those rooms with a private bathroom. All rooms have air conditioning and heating.
Our Hotel has three floors, the second and third of which are nicely decorated and traditional Arabic couches are available for relaxation after a long day exploring the beauties of Aleppo! The homely atmosphere helps our travelers to enjoy sitting, reading and drinking their tea or coffee with other guests and chat with each other.
The hotel is also proud to offer the free use of our kitchen to its guests. Though modest, it has a fridge and stove and can be used for cooking, making hot drinks or just for preparation of your sheesha!
Our roof offers views of the city and the citadel and during the summer evenings we try to organize small parties with food and drink for those who haven't already begun!
Our friendly staff will do everything in its power to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as it can be. It’s our desire to satisfy the needs of our customer; we serve free tea and coffee at all hours and, at your request, can arrange trips within Aleppo and to the most famous sights in the vicinity – the Dead Cities, Palmyra, local castles, etc. There is also a laundry service and money exchange, which can be requested at the 24 hour reception.
