Liked: They have balcony in every room..big kitchen.Staff is helpful and friendly..there is a locker in the room even though the door cant be lock..clean toilet and shower rooms and wash basin.Free wifi. Place is cozy with nice decoration..

Liked: Very clean and modern with very helpful staff who spoke loads of languages. They served an evening meal with a great vegetarian option which saved us having to trek out into town again.

Disliked: A bit far from the centre of Zurich.

Liked: The showers are very private and clean, and the breakfast is very abundant and filling. Given the price of food in Zurich, the fact that the breakfast is included pretty much makes for a considerable chunk of the cost for the bed!

Disliked: Only THREE relatively minor things: 1) I got there very late (past mid night) and the other 3 beds in my 4-bed dorm were already occupied; yet, MY BED WAS NOT MADE. I really didn't want to be rude and turn on the light and make a lot of noise while making my bed, and being it one of the top bunk-beds, it wasn't trivial to make the bed in the dark... so I just spread the bed-cover over the mattress and slept over that... which I guess was OK, 'cause it wasn't cold at all (actually the opposite; in a crowded room it cant get pretty hot quickly). The bed should be made for you prior to your arrival. 2) Although it was that late, the street facing the window was a bit noisy (a few cars coming by from time to time). I don't have any trouble sleeping with such type of noise, but still, it was sub-optimal. 3) The power sockets/outlets from the wall were ABERRANTLY SHAPED! You should be able to use the same adapter as for Germany; yet, around the holes where the metal things plug in, the shape of the plastic socket itself was kinda' like a diamond, so my square/rectangular adapter did not fit!!

Liked: Nice enough place to stay. Good size rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Location is quite far from the centre of Zurich. It's also quite expensive to stay here and there is an additional fee if you're not part of some hostel scheme. Also the breakfast ended pretty early so that's not so good if you like to sleep in. Also, not such a good atmosphere and didn't seem like a great place to meet people. Seemingly no organised activities or anything like you get at other European hostels. Nice enough place to stay but not a great hostel if you're looking to meet people.

Disliked: Too expensive. Far from the center (and the tram is 4CHF). I booked a female only dorm, but at the last night there were 2 men in my room...

Liked: Awesome breakfast which was well worth waking up for.

Disliked: The property was functional, aside from a small confusion when checking in where we were sent to the wrong room all was good.

Liked: Spacious (vast), clean and modern, with great facilities - bar and breakfast in particular.

Disliked: It's a bit of a tram ride away from the centre, so if you're looking to spend a lot of time exploring or partying there, it's a little awkward. Thankfully public transport in Switzerland is extremely reliable. It's not cheap either, but not extortionate compared to prices in general in Zurich. I'd say go here if your priority is a good night's sleep over being right at the heart of things.

Liked: Great hostel; helpful staff, great breakfast, clean rooms and plentiful and clean bathrooms and showers.

Disliked: A bit far from central zurich and although the tram stopped close by, it was quite expensive.
