HOTEL&HOSTEL MONTARINA

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina in Lugano is located in a Villa which was built around 1860. Montarina is very centrally located in Lugano and only 200 meters away from the main railway station.

As far as the accommodation is concerned, Montarina offers you three different room categories: Backpackers-rooms (hostel rooms), Hotel Antique-rooms (historic rooms with running water) and Hotel Comfort-rooms (hotel rooms with bath and all modern facilities).

The Hotel & Hotel Montarina is open all year round and offers you a daily breakfast-service. During the summer you will enjoy the beautiful outdoor swimming-pool in our palm-park.

Accommodation Information

We have three room types available at Hotel & Hostel Montarina - Hotel Antique double rooms,
Hotel comfort double rooms and Hostel Backpacker rooms.

Hotel Antique Rooms are romantic double rooms with running water located in the main building. These rooms have been completely restored and are providing valuable historic items.

Hotel Comfort rooms are new comfortable double rooms in the annex Montarina and Beauregard. These rooms are all equipped with air-conditioning, shower/WC, refrigerator and cable TV. Without any doubt they represent the best price-quality ratio in Lugano.

Backpacker rooms have between 3 and 16 beds and have been completely renovated.

The private Backpacker rooms are with 3, 4, 5 or 6 beds.
The big Backpacker rooms (not private) are with 14 beds or 16 beds.
(Sleeping bags or sheets are obligatory)

They are particularly suitable for groups, schools, families, guests backpacking around Europe or individual guests who are concerned about a reasonable price and an excellent quality of lodging.
