Liked: The location is perfect and breakfast is good enough.

Disliked: It's quite dirty and old. Staff is not professional at all. Bedrooms are really small and you can hear and smell everthing from the bathroom. Ther isn't a practicable window so, you will leave as in a real Jail, no luxury or confort will be found.

Liked: This was a really authentic jailhouse property. It is a great novelty accommodation property and would cater foor couples and families alike. During our stay the cleanliness was exceptional and a credit to the facility. The availability of information about the history of the jail throughout the property was also a great addition to the experience.

Disliked: The breakfast at this hostel is basic and can run out if you are not there fairly early, but it is substantial and included in the price so no complaints from us.

Liked: Was quite close to the main centre and certainly has that creepy atmosphere if you're into that sort of thing. The breakfast was quite good and this place is one of the cheapest in Luzern.

Disliked: Rooms are very basic and small but depends on which type you go for, the ensuite twin we stayed in had no room for storage or a table/desk, unless you count a wooden chair as a desk. The club downstairs can get noisy on thursday-sat.....so avoid being on first floor if noise bothers you. The wifi only works in the lobby. Would stay for a couple of nights but any longer then that....can get quite uncomfy.....the beds are quite hard.

Liked: It was at a good location and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: When we turned off the light to sleep, a strange noise could be heard. We didn't have a good night's rest.

Liked: the location, without the fact that there is a disco club in the weekends (friday and saturday); the breakfast untill it is out (there is no supplement)

Disliked: If you would like to sleep at night, I can not recommend this accomodation. There is a club/disco downstairs every weekend that makes noise all night because of the music as well as the crying people in the street. We had a room on the 2nd floor above the main door, looked to the street. We couldn't sleep also behind closed window. Additionally the early getting up groups also make noise in the street before 7am. The stuff was not helpful, they always promised to solve the problems, but they did not do anything. Sometimes (it is not our unique case, I heard it from others, too) they changed the rooms and gave code (key) of occupied room for new guests. You can not feel your stay in safe. There is no wifi in the hotel, only in front of it, in the street. The stuff did not give too much information also about the wifi (the code is valid in the whole downtown) as well as they did not mention the voucher brochure for the guests which is valid for e.g. some museums.

Liked: if u want something more special than a regular hostel, tht's the place for u. u really stay in a jail!

Disliked: too noisy as i m nt a party person. the reception is quite confusing sometimes n there r many different kinds of rooms, so be careful abt which one u choose to avoid disappointment.

Liked: Cheap in price

Disliked: The equipment is very dirty. The bathroom light is out of order. The staff said he will fix it after few minutes but can't do that. The most important thing is he haven't told us that and we need to ask again and again what we can do and where can we have our bath. The next day is the same. The stafff seems that they don't want to do anything. They are very not helpful and nice. Very disappointted for it. There is no elevator too. The luggage need to bring upstairs and downstairs.

Liked: 1. Shower and toilet in every room - that is the most important adventage they present for these money. 2. Situated in such a way that it is both - in a quiet place on the one hand, and near to the very centre and touristic sites on the other; a good combination. 3. Nice breakfast, good coffee.)

Disliked: 1. They have a club on the ground floor and it makes quite a booming. So if you want a quiet room - ask for upper floors; it must be better there (in this respect). 2. The window was deep in the wall and from the inner side there were bars, so the window was unreachable (and hence unopenable).

Liked: it was a great experience and a very interesting one too. the jail experience was fairly realistic but still enjoyable. the staff were very helpful too and breakfast was good.

Disliked: our toilet stunk unbearably which was bad being in the same room, but after we said something to reception they gave us an upgrade straight away without any hassle.

Liked: Great location. Great staff. Every room gets it's own toilet and sink.

Disliked: on the second day breakfast was rubbish. The hotel was booked out, so even just fifteen minutes after breakfast started all that was left was bread and cereal, but no milk or bowls. When we asked the staff member if there was more coming we were told no.

Liked: Awesome location, and a great feel to the place!!! Would definitely stay here again!!! makes it so much cooler knowing that you are staying in an old jail!!

Disliked: Perhaps a little bit too expensive for one person, but if you had a friend, would be perfect!!!

Liked: This is a converted jail, so it's a bit quirky. The room was adequate for one night, but I wouldn't recommend staying here for more than 2 nights. The location was good and the price reasonable given Lucerne is very expensive.

Disliked: The beds were too low to the floor.

Disliked: Loud party/bar - too loud to leave window open but too stuffy to leave closed. Reception did provide ear plugs which was nice. Internet was only available in breakfast room or reception
