Schützenbach is a small family run Backpacker & Camping. We offer budget accommodation to suit 'all pockets'. We like our guests to feel comfortable and relaxed. With our team of friendly and helpful English speaking staff, you can be assured of personal service, warm family hospitality and a great time.

If you are seeking adventure and don’t know where to start, just ask! We can give you all the information you need. Explore and hike the beautiful surroundings of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. You will not be disappointed! So why not take home great memories & no stress.

We are open all year round so if you would like to hike or ski/board there is always a comfortable bed ready for a sleepy head.

Accommodation Information

Our Chalet has an amazing view over the Valley. It sleeps up to 6 people, one double room, two rooms with bunk beds, private bath living/dining area, balcony, kitchen, TV, ideal for a group of friends or family.Please Note: minimum length of stay in our Chalet for 6 people is 5 nights! All other rooms have no min. stay. Note, as well, that you can rent the chalet being less than 6 people, but you still have to book and pay for 6 people. All reservations made for less then 5 nights will be canceled.

Double rooms have a beautiful view across the valley; incl. bedding/towel, washbasin, shared shower/restroom down the hall.

Quad rooms have two bunk-beds, bedding, shared shower/WC

Dormitory accommodation sleeps up to 25 people. No minimum stay, sleeping bag required, Nordic Duvets can be rented for SFr. 10.00

Please Note:
Please note that as we are a backpackers we accommodate young people (18-45) who tend to party. During high season we must enforce an age limit of 18 - 45 for all guests.

Cancellations made 14 days prior to arrival are free of charge
Cancellations made 7 days prior to arrival will be charged with 50% of the final amount due
Cancellations made 0-6 days, early departure or no show will be charged in full !!!!!!!

Your credit card will be charged with the first nights stay after the 0 –6 day cancellation policy to guarantee your arrival the balance will be charged by arrival
After 19.30 please check-in by our Stump Bar.
Check-in during winter 18th December – 30 April
Sunday - Thursday 16:00 – 20.00 (Please call if you will be arriving late),
Friday and Saturday 16:00 – 22.00

Check-in during summer 01st June – 31st October Monday – Sunday 15:00 – 20.00
