Liked: Spectacular location with the very best view in the whole valley of Lauterbrunnen, especially if you book one of the 4 balcony ensuite rooms facing the valley and waterfall. Some hotels are closer to the waterfall and valley floor, but they don't have the incredible view of both the valley and the Jungfrau Mt looming above the limestone cliffs. I could have stayed on my balcony the whole three days and been completely satisfied. Great value for the money.

Disliked: check out is too early at 10am and check in is too late at 4pm. Also hotel reception is closed between 2 and 4 pm. Best to arrive early, check your bags and go on an excursion, then come back at 4pm.

Liked: We had a private room. Beautiful light room with two big windows that open and window/doors onto a shared terrace (privacy wasn't an issue with curtains etc.). Very clean, best shower pressure i've ever had (I happily second someone elses review on here), right in the middle of town on the main street. be prepared for a late check in (4pm) but there is a restaurant downstairs you can wait at (rosti and sasuage mmmmmm) and ask for free wifi.

Liked: Good wifi. Great views. Charming rooms. Close to key sites. Balcony. Parking. Good restaurant.

Disliked: Beds designed for cold so were stuffy in summer.
