About Hotel Schuetzen Lauterbrunnen
In the winter you can almost ski straight into your freshly-made bed! The world famous 311 meter Staubbach waterfall, which was mentioned in Goethe’s poem ‘Gesang der Geister über den Wassern’, can be seen very close to our house. In the summer a unique experience awaits you. Mürren and Wengen are also easy to reach.
The hotel Schützen has its own bus stop so you do not even have to walk (3 minutes) to the station, if you do not want to. No other hotel in the village has this advantage. Another advantage is the numerous possibilities for coming back.
From Grindelwald you can either ski back or take the train. From Mürren it is possible to ski back to the hotel or take the cable car from Grütschalp or Stechelberg.
We have pleasant rooms with a balcony, running water, a shower and toilet or a bath and toilet, cable TV, radio, telephone and elevator. Direct view of the ¨Koenigin der Berge¨ (queen of the mountains) the Jungfrau and the famous waterfall "Staubbach".
The restaurant offers, especially in the winter with its open-fire, a relaxing and homely feeling, as one would expect from a typical Swiss restaurant. In the summer there is the formidable view from the garden restaurant to the mountains.
Breakfast waits with an extensive buffet with many local specialties. In the evening you can either have the three-course half board menu or choose from the à-la-carte menu. Let yourself be taken in by Swiss food.
Breakfast Buffet is not included in the rates and served from 07:30 - 10:00. The breakfast-buffet costs CHF 18.00 per person and is book able as an extra.
Half-board evening meal is served from 6pm - 8:30pm. The half-board-3-course-menu cost's CHF 28.00 per day and is book able as an extra.
Please arrival between 4pm and 9pm - later arrivals only upon agreement.
Parking spaces available free of charge at the hotel.
Non-smoking rooms are available.
Local tax comes extra: CHF 3.00 per adult.
Surrounding Area :
Lauterbrunnen, at the foot of the three peaks, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, is in one of the most spectacular trough valleys in the Alps, situated between gigantic rack faces and peaks. The lively main village at the beginning of the valley is the starting point of the most scenic and spectacular mountain railways in Europe. With 72 thunderous waterfalls as well as snug valleys, colorful meadows and lone alpine huts, the Lauterbrunnen valley is one of the biggest natural conservation areas in Switzerland. In winter, Lauterbrunnen is the starting point for the world-famous skiing areas: Mürren, Schilthorn (Inferno race), Wengen-Kleine Scheidegg (Lauberhorn race) and Grindelwald-First.
