Liked: well organized, really clean, staff really helpfull

Disliked: really poor furniture, not really nice to see, very small closet in the chambers

Liked: This was the worst hostel that we have experienced, so I did not like the Hostel at all.

Disliked: There were no lockers in the bedrooms, the bathrooms were unclean, the rooms were just uncomfortable and it was not worth the money that we paid.

Liked: Clean, quiet (at least it was while I was there), and the breakfast was good.

Disliked: Overpriced. Staff were the bare-minumum of helpful. When I had problems connecting with the wifi internet (because of an unnecessarily convoluted system of connection) they made absolutely no attempt to help me out. I have stayed at better hostels in Lausanne, and would not go back to this one.

Liked: A clean place, and a small bar.

Disliked: I didnt read the 'fine print' that says you have to be a member of Hosteling International or they charge you CHF 6 per night more. Also, lots of children staying here (as in, long term, not just ones traveling with their family).

Liked: Near to the city centre, lake and railway station. Free public transport card which was given on the arrival. Free wi-fi.

Disliked: bedclohes - they didn't seemed to be changed...

Liked: Breakfast is decent, and the free travel pass for the city is a real bonus.

Disliked: The number of toilets/showers seemed fewer than I was expecting for such a big place, but this was not an issue despite the place being busy.

Liked: Inexpensive, very clean, nice staff. Not too far to walk from the train station but when we arrived received free travel passes for bus & tram for the duration of our stay - very good!

Disliked: Could do with a few more toilet / shower facilities.

Liked: It is a great value for the price. It is conveinitely located on the bus #25 line which takes you right into town or down to the waterfront in no time.

Disliked: The front desk staff didn't speak English well. Often, it was difficult to get basic questions asnwered.

Liked: The buffet breakfast was a great start to the day, even if most days there were either no bowls or no plates...

Disliked: The location is a bit out of the town and you have to take the Metro and then a Bus to get to and from town/ hostel. Theres nothing nearby the Hostel and everythings a 15-20min walk away at least. Staff weren't very friendly or helpful when needed. Laundry use was expensive and had to book the room for half a day (6 hours) when all you need is 2 hours. Extra costs were added onto the room booking once you arrive if you are not a member of the Youth Hostel. These costs were not outlined on the website.

Liked: the atmosphere

Disliked: apart from the extra charging, everything was very nice! i only missed an ATM in the hostel or at least nearby, but according to the reception, the closes one is 5 bus stations away.

Liked: Close to the bus stop. Clean restrooms.

Disliked: Too much noise in the corridors. They charged me 12 fr instead of 6 fr a day more because I didn't have the card.

Liked: This hostel had a family feel so it wasnt somewhere you would go if you were there to party.The staff were very helpful and all spoke English It was clean it had loads of space in the dorm to put your things and the breakfast was great lots of choice not like some hostels that just give you toast and cereal it had ham cheese yoghurt real coffee fruit it was great if like me you want somewhere safe to stay.Also you could just walk to the end of the street and you were on the Lake.

Disliked: It was a little further out than i would have liked but it was still easy to get too.

Liked: Excellent breakfast, clean and good all round but a good 15mins by public transport to the centre although is on the beach so evening strolls can be had!

Disliked: Very modern and lacking in charm.

Liked: This property was very clean, the breakfast was good, the staff was friendly and helpful and you got a free bus pass for the length of your stay.

Disliked: they have a hidden fee but they advertise it on the website you just have to read the whole thing.
