Liked: It was convenient for our journey to Vals, Graubaunden Canton. the views from the heights are wonderful, though the access not easily identified, and few people around to ask in Ilanz. Primarily, the price is appropriate for our needs, so why criticise. No staff around to ask those 'new person questions', We arrived latish at dusk and couldn't get in, telephone number on door initially incorrect.

Disliked: Tiny stairs could be difficult to access, where many people were using the hostel. We were only three.

Liked: I got to stay at the hotel in the village for hostel price but hotel service, due to low amount of tourists.

Disliked: A bit difficult to get to.

Liked: It's a very good hostel for what you pay for, near a bus-stop, very nice and clean also in a very impressive region of swiss mountains. I appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the meals, made for athletes.

Liked: The good was the mountains and village surrounding the hostel. Worth hiking through!The bad was the mass-cooked meals with little nutritional value. Also the mass on-demand timed excursion to and back from the mountains was a bit tedious. In retrospect I'd rather have stayed at walking distance from the pistes instead of being tied to their mass bus excursions.

Liked: I couldn't have been happier with my stay. This is a great place if you're trying to save a little money on your next snowboarding trip. Meals and laundry are included, as well as discounted lift tickets and rentals. The staff is super helpful and create a chill, cozy atmosphere. Make sure you tell the bus drivers from Laax you are a tourist and you get free bus fare.
