Liked: Atmosphere and people. Being locked out of dorms when it is raining is a pain, and the bathrooms arent the cleanest, otherwise no complaints.

Liked: Everything! Except maybe the fact that you couldn't sit outside after 10pm because of the curfew. It had a club, a bar, a place to get food, a shop, the staff were great and it had a really fun atmosphere with plenty of activities on offer.

Liked: What you heard is true! This is by far the one of the best hostels in Europe all around; it's clean, secure, and fun. The hostel is full of ammenities (including internet, laundry, lockers) and has many activities departing from the front desk. BBQ and bar every night and free Swiss spring water for everyone in town! I'd most definetely come back to this hostel.

Liked: friendly people, tons of americans. One bad thing, the beds suck, the bunks (i was in a 8-bunk room) are laid end to end in pairs, so you play footsie all night with your neibhor. Also, bathrooms weren't steller, but decent.

Liked: Lots of amenities and areas for hanging out HOWEVER, due to "Swiss Laws" there was no place to hang out after 11pm even if you just want a quiet night for chatting and relaxing with some people.

Liked: wonderful owner and nice staff. the atmosphere was one of party party and I could have done with less of that. there wasn';t a really good place to sit and talk and play cards because all available space was overrun with loud and raucous souls.

Liked: This is the best hostel i have ever stayed at. It was fantastic. Stay here & you will agree. Great for meeting people, staff were freindly & very helpful. So much fun, so clean & great atmosphere.

Liked: they kick you out of the hostel at 10 which is fine becasue there is so much to do but if you want to sleep in or have a hang over or its rainny it sucks the staff is alright kinda stuck up the austrail girl at the front :( stay at funny farm if you like a more laid back feel there are 2 sec away from each other oh ya the tents at balmers were so much cooler!!! except no resturants by them

Liked: Balmer's makes it easy to meet other people while travelling. The staff helps you book activities and the hostel is close enough to the main town. All in all the atmosphere is great!
